If they're on the main black impact srtips, try pricing up new parts from GSF or EuroCarParts - last time I looked it was under £30 for a new front impact strip.

Otherwise, you could try sanding the marks out with rough paper (120 Grit) and then sanding the whole bumper with 400-grit.
Then repaint with Krylon Fusion black plastic paint.

My first car was a Sunbeam Rapier IIIA convertible. Good wagon, as I recall...

-Can't help with the query, I'm afraid.

Quickly trying to hide my old bucket and squirt of washing up liquid, I thought this may be of interest to the OCD types that frequent this site and just can't help themselves. I'd probably be the same myself but am suffering from a more common affliction...........being a slacker :)

Its a fair old read but some good tips for the anally retentive and singletons amongst you :)

Bought some of that Spray and Shine stuff today to try :ph43r: (Dont Kill Me)

Don't worry though, i'am not going to use it like they do on t.v. Gonna clean the car first with AG shampoo and then apply it.
Did a quick read up on detailing world and if used properly the results can be good but not as fantrastic as using idividual products.

I'am thinking its gonna be good to get anycrap off the car at car meets.

I love offset.

Im not arsed taking a picture but I use:

  • Meg. Gold Class car shampoo (really good)
  • Turtlewax Microfibre wash mitt
  • AG Super Resin Polish (really good)
  • AG Active Insect Remover (good stuff on the impact strips)
  • AG Bumper Care (best thing ever)
  • AG Aqua dry chamois
  • Meg. Quick Detailer mist & wipe stuff (great)
  • Meg. Tyre Gel stuff (Purple stuff & really good)
  • Simoniz Foam upholstry cleaner (not great..)
oh and for the mirror polished wheels I have the "BRiLiAnT Polish" 3 stage metal polish kit and a bunch more microfibres..

The birds dad got a cleaning kit off Mercedes with his new C200 so I've been knicking that, seeing as he's in the country about as often as I'm out of it, so the car doesn't have much of a chance to get dirty. But I've been looking at investing in some cleaning products and this thread has been useful. Used to use TurtleWax and the results were always fine, if unspectacular.

Anyone got any advice for leather interiors? Mines are in pretty excellent condition given the age/mileage, but want to keep them that way!
