My day kicked off with a little London convoy with Kentronix (Kenny), 1999andi (Andi!) and 190D 2.5 (Adrian). We had a nice E30 Cabby and an Audi S2 in tow too. Arrived to see plenty of cars representing... After a good old pootle around, CrysAk and i decided we should pit 1.8 Auto (mine) against 1.8 Manual (Chris's)...

As for the results, well i can tell you that out of the 2 runs I did against Chris, my best result was 19.3411 secs / 70.54mph Chris came in at 18.2888 secs / 74.01mph So... not a massive amount in it but the Manual beat the Auto!

At least you had good weather for it

That hard standing area is pretty cool, much nicer for showing off the cars. Nice one for going up the strip Neil the lil auto wasnt too bad at all eh? Did many people stay over on the friday night?

To be honest although there were some lovely cars there it was better for wandering around last year. Partly because the grass made it relaxing but it seemed a better turn out. Lucky it wasnt on the grass judjing on the state of the soggy first campsit area !! moster truck was ok but where the cars less flat at the start of the day ? That would have been much better !!

The hard-standing area was better than being shoved in a field but it was still a bit of a maze. No Dyno either (just as well, i prolly have about 70bhp :lol: ) Top pics Steve

It's a shame I turned up late I would like to have met a few more that turned, but managed to put a few faces to names before the track called. I am surprised at the difference between the 1.8s I didn't think it would be that big. Just to rub it in though my best run was 15.898s @ 87.54 mph Unfortunately my camera had mysteriously broken and the video looks like it was filmed from a bungee rope. Superb quality of cars though and a good turnout even if some of us were a little late. :ph43r:
