You're a legend Mazza!! Bedtime reading for me now :).

The quality thing is because that site is showing the image smaller (and in less quality) so it fits on the screen better. Just click the image and it will go to its full size and quality. :)

Oh dear I think I've just realised something.

I think the KE-Jetronic is the system used on cars with a catalyst and 02/lambda sensor!
I think the 2.5-16 without catalyst is K-jetronic?
Does the book feature that too?

Hello

Dont panic!!!

The KE-Jetronic System or (CIS-E) Covers both the cat and non cat 190's

Bosch k

K-jetronic (CFI) Contineous fuel injection
introduced in 1974, covers Mercedes 6.9litre, 280,450

K-jetronic with Lambda
Mercedes, 280,380,450,500

KE-Jetronic (CSI-E)
Covers all 190e cat/non cat

Good old KE, so simple yet so complicated...lol

In part 5 of this (actual page number 152) it talks of the idle speed air valve (got it, the one between the injectors) and then in the right hand side of the page, the 'auxiliary air valve'. What the hell is that? It sounds identical to the idle speed air valve to me??!!

Also on a separate note, does the big moving plate air flow sensor in the throttle body of our cars mechanically control the fuel injection? I thought it did? In which case, why does it also have a sensor going to a computer as well (read in PART 6).
