thanks for all this great info, its going to come in handy.

My 2.3-16v has an extremely wobbly gearknob so first thing to change is the bushings. I was going to go for standard ones, I just want it back to normal, does anyone have the part numbers ? are they the same as for normal 190s and if anyone has a spare set I would rather that than lining my idiot dealers pocket (looking in cosmos direction here :) )

The knob has over half an inch of play in pretty much all directions, it still goes into all gears but its clearly horrible. Any idea which bushings its most likely to be ?

I love offset.

Correct.
If you are changing from auto to manual, the gearboxes are different lengths so you need to change the first half of the prop shaft.

The same goes if you are just changing a diff, we put a 2.3-16 LSD into my 2.0 Auto, and we had to change the rear section of the prop as the LSD is longer.

Then when we put the Getrag in we just swapped out the front part of the prop shaft to match.

Good luck.
