and i always thought the newer C-Class "sport coupe" looked a bit Vauxhall.
the front-quarter view of this one puts me in mind of a MK1 Astra GTE...

all you need to do is paint it white, with a matte-black rear window surround!

nothing at all, but a white 190 Compact would definitely deserve a digital speedo and an NACA duct on one side of the bonnet!

Astra GTE!

Ok its a bit ugly, but does nobody see the 2.6?

Imagine a 2.6 in such a small little chassis! might handle a bit odd but I'd bet its fun ;)

Looks kinda like the Lancia Integrale or whatever it was called. :)

Would've been way ahead of its time!! Look at the cars for sale now...

BMW 1 series, Audi A3, Merc A-Class...

Don't kill me, but I kinda like it!!

Imagine that with AMG Monoblock rims, AMG bodykit, lowered a wee bit.

Would've been hot! The quality would've been the same a sthe 190. Would've been a classic for sure!!! ;)

If Merc had done something like this back then, we might never have got the A Class. Now that's a nice thought...

i know the 190's a design classic and all, but

Sadest thing about Lancia is that, although they won loads of rally championships, during their last year of official sales in the UK they sold less cars than Lotus!

I had a love/hate relationship with a Prisma (booted Delta) and can quite understand why!

I saw not one, but two of those delta integrales flying through my work the other day.. Some sound off them, it was cool :D An immaculate blue one with cream leather interior and then a spotless bright red one chasing it.. (Didn't spot the interior on that one) But they were both damn fast!

  Not really comparing them. I just said it reminded me a little about it with the boxy lines.

They wouldn't even have competed against each other for sales. The 190 Compact would've been like the BMW 1 Series today or the Audi A3. The Lancia is like today's Subaru STI or the EVO... :)

The 190 pic needs work, but definately has potential...

I saw one of these Lancia's the other day. They are freakin cool. Definate future classic!

i'd really love an Integrale, but imagine going from the reliability of an 80s/90s Mercedes to a fifteen-year-old Italian hatchback..!

they come up on eBay surprisingly often, most are left-hookers.

If I remember right, they were all left hookers. They didn't make RHD did they?

all HF Integrales were originally LHD, but professional RHD conversions were available in the UK - a friend of mine's dad had a late HF Integrale Evoluzione-I that he bought brand new, the RHD
conversion cost around £2500.

it still had the LCD dash, full leather and those nightmare-to-clean wheels!

they're just so stunning - Italian design, with the spirit of a MK1 Golf GTi, and twice the performance!
