I remember reading somewhere that if the O2 sensor is before the cat you shouldn't have any problems removing the cat. Thinking about it, the sensor is taking it's reading before the cat anyway, so why would it make a difference if the cat was there or not, unless the additional back pressure a cat makes enters the equation somewhere.

If the senor is after the cat, then i can see issues arising, of course i could be completely wrong about it all, but it just seems logical to me
