I have brand new OTG, which I got from Nick. I've also got the new sensor and wiring. Oddly enough, my car was never fitted with one. It has been stashed away for a long time now, but the notion came on me yesterday to fit it. After extracting the cluster, which I'm certain, has never been done before, (not even for a bulb) I struggled to get the speedometer cable released but eventually succeeded. Then I discovered it was impossible to get the cluster right out, without removing the steering wheel, so I did that too In my ignorance, I thought all I had to do was plug it in, but no, the cluster looked like it had to be separated. By this time I knew I was out of my depth, so I abandoned the idea. Now I can’t get the speedometer cable attached to the cluster. There is not enough slack on the cable to get it within reach of the Speedo head. Can anyone tell me where I’m going wrong, please? |
