There is no play in the wheel so it should pass! If it does i will do the job at a later date. What i want to know is do the bearings make a noise for ages before they brake up or does it need doing ASAP? Thanks for any advise. first hello and welcome to the club......................................secondly if it is noisy as you say ,it shouldnt pass because the bearing is still shot, its a common thing on these cars and i posted warnings about them before, that just because you cant feel play, doesnt mean to say the bearing is ok to drive on,i learnt the hard way,i thought it was a noisy diff because i couldnt feel any play in the bearing, ended up costing me a driveshaft as well .............the only true way to check for play ,is to undo the driveshaft nut, then check.................mine felt ok,no play, until i undid the driveshaft nut, then it had about 2 inches of movement
