Hello all. Complete n00b when it comes to the 190E, however I am a veteran of many other car forums. Essentially, I have inherited a 1990 190E Auto that was owned by a family member who now has no use for it. It's going to be my new daily driver, whilst my Integra Type-R sits in the garage to be used on sunny days and at the track. It hasn't arrived with me yet, needs to be trailered from London to Cambridge so it can be MOTd and put on the road. Couple of questions though, how can I tell the difference between the 4-cylinder models? I've tried searching and having a look but couldn't really find anything. Obviously it'd be dead easy to spot the difference between a 4- and 6-cylinder, but I don't know if it's a 1.8 or 2.0, and the last time I saw it I don't remember seeing it badged. Can't rely on the ex-owner either as he doesn't really care. Also, the previous owner *thinks* the head gasket might be gone. This is totally unconfirmed, is it a known issue on potentially un-cared-for models, or is it generally unheard of? Many thanks.
