if its been there the whole time you have owned the car then its always difficult. A couple of thoughts would be: 1) Wheel bearing - grumbly when straight yet under a turn it loads up and quietens down. 2) propshaft bearing - the gearbox and shaft is quite a mass, especially during cornering 3)Propshaft alignment/imbalance - the propshaft is a balance critical component and needs to be re-aligned correctly if disturbed. 4)brake pads, these can float around in the caliper and cause odd noises from time to time. |
