Hi & welcome to our site , I think you are the first 3 member family to each have their own Cosworth . I take mine to trackdays often , and have lightened mine . The obvious and easiest & cheapest way is to take out the front carpets , the rear seats and sound deadening , and the spare wheel and tools etc. Then you can replace the front seats , and get some lighter wheels . After this , the cost starts to rise . DTM cars used carbon roof / propshaft / dash / and obviously , many body panels . Moving the battery is good too . After that it is up to you as to how far you want to go . The standard brakes are very good , especially so after losing some weight , so replacing pads and fluid for track stuff is normally sufficient . Or you can go with an Evo II set up or one from the 320-24V . Let us know how you get on . Jeremy |
