This is never easy to advise on without being next to the car. But......

What is stamped on the rear of the wheel? Look for the numbers that follow 'ET' and preceed 'J'. This will give you the correct wheel width and the offset.

A 7.5j wheel will be fine on a 190 so will a 16" wheel and the combination of the two should be ok too.

However, if the offset is wrong for the 190 it will rub. Is it the tyre rubbing or the metal of the wheel itself?

If it is the tyre, then for a 16" wheel I would suggest 225/45 or 205/50. 225/50/16 is too big and will rub sorry. If the offset is out then you may need to adjust the tyres width as well as height and drop to the 205.

I assume the bolt pattern fits as nearly all Mercedes wheels have the same PCD that is 5x112. 4.5 inches is about 112mm so I figure he just measured it with a tape measure for the advert.

Cant advise on spacers but I have seen them on ebay. Not sure I like the idea but an extra 10mm can make a massive difference getting wheels to fit.
