Bless, reminds me of Croft & Blackburn's Forecourt in Middlesbrough, circa 1990!
Best stand award? we woz robbed!!!!!

And a few of the cars that caught our eye. This awesome Porker 924 had a blown small block Chevy motor and pulled sub 9 second quarters all day. Owner was a top bloke too.

Nice Ford Galaxie, not to be confused with the tragic people carrier version!

The gorgeous mangatmotorsport car about to beat the living p1ss out of an Audi S3....

Heh heh! Bye Bye Audi...

Battle of the veggie burners! Chris's 2.5 was sounding very nice.

Podzilla was worth a look, especially when it almost tipped over and lost half its vital fluids (or maybe it was the driver wetting himself...)

This thing was awesome, almost split my bloody eardrums as it went past!

And this was about my favourite car of the show, it ignited my love for Mk1 Escys again. It said "1100L" on the wing badges, but I reckon it was lying juding by how it looked and sounded...

And so to the evening. Having been to a few of these events with other car clubs, I knew that following a day of cars and copious amounts of alcohol, must come fire, especially when the temperature drops. So, take one large empty metal rubbish bin, add some wood, obtained from, er, somewhere and bingo!

Cheeersh! Hic! You're my beshtesht mate in the world ever! (etc..)
Posted Image
Posted Image
(note that despite the cold temperature, the club polo shirt is doing fine work in keeping the cold out!)
Dave(mercedescossy) made a fine cardboard gatherer when the wood ran out. Top work fella!

He hit upon the idea of us taking the car and filling it with cardboard. We were doing quite well until site security caught us and made us put it back! Tut tut Dave, the site rules clearly state "no burnouts!" Mind, that grass was unusually slippery!

A special mention on the night had to go to Kenny and his "headache in a glass 2008". My teeth itched the next morning!
So, same time next year, eh? Let's aim for a nice round 50 on the stand!
