And I felt compelled enough to register. Saw a link on the myresistance site, played one or two members once in a ranked team game. Gave the impression you guys were pretty good. Saw a link checked out the forum here and I have to say it's quite a nice board here. Aesthetically the design and layout look good. Meh so I guess I could introduce myself while I'm at it. Name's Russ, 21, love sports (and hot girls but what guy doesn't?), specifically love hockey (played it since I was little), am pretty damn good at hockey videogames, and pretty solid at any game, though I never have the time to dedicate myself to usually becoming unstoppable at one game (plus I play to many other games). And yeah, saw one or two guys on Resistance so figured I'd give a shout out here since unlike some other solid players they don't act like idiots to everyone else. |

Haha, I'm in another clan (that's not so great but the guys are cool) at the moment, plus I guarantee I'm probably to crappy to be in the FF RFOM clan. But yeah, next time I'm on I'll send a buddy invite, maybe at the least if you are just running through ranked for fun in a party sometime we could hook up (and probably be the crappiest player in the party hahah). |

Hey, welcome to the forum SuppaMan. I am kanno41, the Leader of the Fearless Few and also the webmaster of the forums and I would like to welcome you here to the site. As long as you are a good team player and not a complete noob, you'll likely make it through the tryouts. We look for potential more than actual skill and stats. My PSNID is obviously kanno41. |

On the subject of hockey, I also love it, and tomorrow I am going to a Predators game. Also, do you play NHL 2007 for the computer? |

Nice, outside the fact I believe it was Nichols (maybe I'm thinking of the wrong guy) is a total douchebag. I'll never forget the pussy punch he threw on Spacek when the Sabres pwned their asses. And no, I'm not a huge computer gamer (though later down the road every so often when I have a new comp I'll play old games I missed, like Half-Life, etc). To much money and time investing for me. However I've been playing hockey games since well I guess Nintendo's Ice Hockey, though I like to think the real hockey games started with NHLPA '93 on the Genesis. I actually don't care much for the games this year. I think I have the most fun with NHL 07 for the 360, but that still has tons of issues. I'm hoping they fix most of them so NHL 08 will be amazing (that and I'm hoping the 2K series gets a serious overhaul). Lets hope Vokoun plays that game and wins though, the guy's one of my fantasy goalies haha. |

That was a cheapshot, but he really isn't a bad guy. And, I personally like the computer games of all of the NHL or hockey games better than on the console. For one, it's easier to see the puck, subtleties of the players, and easier to position dekes. Also, the graphics are actually very good, and the lagging is very minimal (except in NHL 06 on powerplays, which was extremely annoying). Overall, I like the dynasty of hockey games played on the computer rather than the console. Anyway, considering I live in Knoxville and am close to Nashville, I am a big fan of the Predators. This is the first year that they are really playing great quality of hockey up to NHL standards. Barry Trotz has really done an excellent job of turning an expansion team into a hardworking, skilled franchise. As for Vokoun playing, I actually rather have Mason as the starter. Vokoun seems shaky since his injury and has given up some really soft goals, especially in the Detroit game. Mason, with the league-leading save percentage, has turned out to be an outstanding goalie. If he keeps this up, he should get (whatever name, forgot) trophy as best goalie of the year. |

Nashville just destroyed the Columbus BlueJackets last night 4-0. Columbus has one of the worst hockey teams in the whole NHL though |

Ya, that was a good game. Columbus is very bad, but it is weird because their roster has some pretty good players. |

Actually I thought Mason played worse in the Detroit game than Vokoun. (he did get the loss in that game) Vokoun just needs some time. He's fine and will only get better as his thumb heals. The Detroit game the whole team just played bad. Meanwhile Columbus was getting destroyed because they aren't to hot to begin with, their starting netminder is still out after re-injuring himself (leclaire), and some of their better players are also out (I believe Nash is still injured). Oh and go Sabres. |
