I've been playing around with a test board, and it seems like the .maintitle must be a certain height for the category name to actually show up.

I also realize that either kanno or DJ made the .maintitle image for this forum, so I was wondering what width is preferred.

The FeW .maintitle image is at a height of 27 pixels. The width is 810.

I just made this as a .maintitle image with the colors I think I might use for the forum:

What does everyone think?

Note: I didn't add the border, due to the fact that the table will include one. Your bg color and my dark are close in color. The only thing is, do you guys think I should change the white to the dark color?

I personally like it with the scanlines over the one without them. It gives the renders a nice feel to them.

Nicely done, DJ. It's good work, especially the text.

The Senses Fail text is actually a banner from their webstore. If I knew what font it was I would do it myself. It's their band font that's on all of their merch but I couldn't find a download for it so I just used the banner.

If your background is a darker color then white wouldn't fit, so yeah change that. It would be easier to match up if you had a preview though.

Are you taking requests right now, DJ?

If you are, give me a format, and I'll fill it in.

thnx.

I'm going out in about ten minutes so if I do get a request it won't be done right away, probably not til tommorow.

Do you have a format? It doesn't need to be done right away anyway. This entire project will be completed after Christmas, so there's no rush.

Give me specifics and I'll work it from there. I don't really have a format.

Width: 780
Height: 27
Lighter Color (part of gradient or bg): #8F9578
Darker Color (part of gradient or bg): #7F8577
Other Color (for lines, shapes, etc.): #9CB148

General Things: try to make it in a curving, elliptical pattern with the same shapes on both sides. Add some lines on the ends as well.

Notes: do not make it exactly like the [FeW] .maintitle image, but the general design of the [FeW] .maintitle image is what I'm going for.

Just do your best with what I provided and we might have to edit or whatever, but do not feel like you are in a rush.

Again, thanks.

I like it, but the green color should look like the green color in this:

(The above image is something I made, too.... :D )
Here is it in action:
PREVIEW

[Note- I am so happy because I realized that my PS version can define a pattern! Therefore, this is my first GFX that contains scanlines!!!!!]
