Well, I just got the game last weekend and man is it great. The controls are a little hard to manage at first, but there are different controller types you can choose from to fit your liking. This game is completely different from the other Budokais in the series due to that Atari decided to drop Dimps and take Spike as the developer. The way you play is a fusion of DBZ Sagas and the other Budokais. Where you fight is almost unlimited. You can hide in different areas, no more of the standard fight. The screen is divided into 2 in multiplayer, so you can imagine how free the controls are. You can fly anywhere: land, sky, and even underwater (it seems you can stay there forever without having to breath  )! No more transformations. Super Saiyan Goku is a completely different character than Super Saiyan 2 Goku. Different attacks, power level, and fighting style. There are way over 50 characters in the game this way (from Dragonball, Dragonball Z, and Dragonball GT). Also, as in some of the earlier Budokai games, when certain characters are fighting together (such as Goku and Vegeta), they say specific stuff to each other. One thing that really suprised me is that there wasn't Omega Shenron
! This game is overalll very fun, though some scenes in the Z Battle Gate (story mode) are a little rough expression wise (like Gogeta dying because he couldn't save the world, yet has a straight face
). Characters such as Broly aren't affected by punches because they're so big, which is a huge advantage. All those combos from the original Budokais? GONE. Now you don't have to worry about your friend beating you up before you can even land a punch
. This is probably the best PS2 game out there at the moment. Any questions/comments? Feel free to ask.

Er... it was basically an in-depth review of the game.
