taken from: http://www.cashluna.org/eng/index.cfm?get=view&ID=881 Do not make fun of God We always want to fix the outside instead of fixing the inside, the solution to your problem is fixing what you have inside Apostle Paul once said: “He who would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit, and on the other hand Jesus said “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple”. So I asked God to explain to me the difference between what Jesus and the apostle Paul said, because on one side he said to hate my life, and on the other, to love my neighbor as I love my self, and then, the apostle Paul says, that loving life is a good thing. It is much better to hate all that you can enjoy in life, if it can jeopardize your relationship with Jesus. That’s the real balance. Jesus came to earth, he was amongst his disciples, he multiplied the loafs of bread and the fish, Jesus loved life, even though he was given as a sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sin. We have to learn to love life. Loving a moment with your family, a relaxing time with your children, some amazement time is not bad, it’s not sin. Some people, specially pastors belived that they should give time to all their congregation and not to their own wife and children, nobody can stand that, because by nature God gives us love for our family, for the ones we care about. Some time ago I taught about real vanity; real vanity is working hard and not enjoying the fruit of your work, it is being married and never enjoying your wife, that is true vanity. The word vanity means “in vane”. You work in vane, if you don’t enjoy what you do. You work in vane, if you don’t enjoy the fruit of your job. Christians should be the happiest people over the face of the earth, there is nothing wrong with that, what’s bad, is loving life in a wrong way. There are good days and bad days, in Ecclesiastes 12:1 says: Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, Before the difficult days come, And the years draw near when you say,“ I have no pleasure in them”. This chapter of Ecclesiastes ends the topic of vanity by telling everybody, to learn from the time of youth, what is and what isn’t vanity, so that bad days don’t come to your life, days in which you say: “I’m not happy” “I’m not happy with my job, with how much I make, with the way I spend the money I make”. One has to live happy, in a big house, in a small house, whether you are newly weds or you have been married for several years Being happy is a life attitude. You have two choices, whether you begin working happily and joyfully or you get a different job, a lot of people who say they don’t like their job, say they don’t leave it because they make good money there, so then, make the money you need in a happy way, or at least make less money doing something you enjoy, perhaps some day you’ll make a lot of money, doing what you like. Nobody is surpassed if they don’t do something with delight and joy. I like to do what God sent me to do, I enjoy it, to me the ministry is not a burden, a lot of people ask me: “What is the price you’ve had to pay, how many hours do you pray each day?” and I asked them if they believed that praying, speaking to God, worshiping and praising him was a price to pay. What I’m about to say with all your respect, you know I don’t attack any body, you know I never attack and will never attack any religion, but many of us were taught to pray as a punishment, when you committed a sin you were told how many Our Father prayers to pray, therefore in our subcontiense praying means punishment, they made us pray when we confessed our sin. Then I sin and pray, that is why you begin praying by saying “forgive me”, the ¨Our Father prayer¨ doesn’t begin with “forgive me” it starts worshiping and praising God, but those lessons that they gave us stayed in our hearts and defines our behavior. How could it be that praying, being with him, contemplating his glory, contemplating him, and receiving his anointing can be considered a price to pay? It’s not a price to pay, even David use to say: “My flesh longs for You” (Psalms 63:1) That’s why when God’s power falls, even your flesh can feel it. The bible tells us that our mouth speaks from the abundance of our hearts, it reads “Let him refrain his tongue from evil,” I world like you to run a test on your life, testing your words, how you use them and who you use them with, because we won’t see god days unless we fix the way we speak. Mathew 12:32-34 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come. “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit. Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Speaking is a fruit of the heart. So then turn your self into an evil person like the evil things you speak or if you say you are good, speak good things, because he who doesn’t refrain his tongue from evil, won’t be able to love life, nor seeing good days. The kind of days I live are directly related to the way I speak. The mouth has much more power than you think, that’s the reason for making our faith declaration at each one of our meetings, it isn’t our faith declaration itself, we’ve got much more than that, but we are declaring something extremely powerful, because there is power in our mouth to give life or death, to bring blessing or to bring curse, to be healed or to get sick, to be rich, or to be poor. Tell me what you speak and I will tell you who you are. What do you talk about? Who do you talk about? How, when, why and to who do you talk about things? That’s what you are, you’re nothing more, and nothing less. The scripture tells you to turn into what you are saying or to speak what you are. I’m not talking about jokes, I’m talking about what you really talk about, because our mouth speaks from the abundance of our hearts. Both good and bad things can come out of a man’s heart Mark 7:23 reads: All these evil things come from within and defile a man. What contaminates men, what comes in or what comes out? Life is contaminated by what you speak. The scripture says: Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits” (1st. Corinthians 15:33) Chose your friends, close who you talk to, or close them to tell them something, our mouth can sow corruption, because if evil company, and bad conversations corrupts good habits, it is because the words are the ones who corrupt men, as a matter of fact, your thoughts are a set of ideas, images and above all a set of words. What comes out of men is what contaminates him. Mark 7:18-23 So He said to them, “Are you thus without understanding also? Do you not perceive that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him, because it does not enter his heart but his stomach, and is eliminated, thus purifying all foods?” And He said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man.” We always want to fix the outside instead of fixing the inside, the solution to your problem is fixing what you have inside, people want an external solution because when it is something external, somebody else has to fix it, but when is something internal, you are the only one who can fix or solve it, you must be responsible for your own life, what we have inside is what determines what we are and what we will become. Last week I was telling you that I saw the London Symphony Orchestra on T.V. and they had as a special guest, the best violin player in the world, she placed the violin with happiness, with passion, with joy and I told my family haw I was pretty sure that there was some one else who studied in the same place where she studied, with the same professors, and the same brand of violin but he didn’t play the same type of music because that has nothing to do with the violinist, nor the skill or the talent of the artist. Someone can play very sad music because he’s sad, and someone can play happy music because he is happy, having studied in the same college, being thought by the same professor, sponsored by the same violin brand, but in their individual life they are very different. You have a mouth like everybody and you know which melody you will play on it every day, a sad one, bitter or a happy one, something that gives a seed that corrupts someone else or a seed that takes someone out of corruption; a seed that blesses someone or one that destroys others. The instruments or resources are for someone to express himself. We all wear clothes, some people express one thing with what they wear and other people express something else. We all work and through our job we express ourselves. Everybody says what they want to obtain, what they want to be, and what they want to give, we all have a special way of expressing ourselves; we must learn to express ourselves. If you want to see good days, and love life, in other words, have a good time on this earth, it’s been hard for me to break the pastor that doesn’t laugh prototype, who always scolds, who was always visiting people so they could feed him, breaking with the prototype of the pastor’s wife, the one who never fixes her hair, the one who can’t come to the sanctuary, that doesn’t have an office, the one who is worthless, that is the prototype of people who haven’t loved live, but the lord saved me just as he saved you and he gave me an abundant life, as he did for you and I live the life Jesus Christ gave me, if I’m a pastor or not, I’m free, the Lord made me free, he delivered me, end if you should be set free from something, that should be from religiousness. Galaians 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. Don’t deceive yourself, God can’t be mocked, There are some people who try to make fun of God, they try to mock him, whatever a man sows, that he will also reap, the law of sowing and reaping, if you want to live outside of this law, your are trying to mock God; if you want to live without sowing or believing that you can sow bad seed and reap good things, you are trying to mock God, or to fool him, in other words, those who say “it’s not true what they say about sowing and reaping” don’t make fun of it or mock it, because it is a law, the law of “sowing and reaping”. There’s people that want a good life without sowing first, having a good marriage without sowing, having good clients without sowing, if you are one of this, you are mocking God. Mock in Greek means TO TRICK OR FOOL, don’t try to mock God, trying to live a life without sowing first, in other words, we should know when and in who we sow everything we have and everything we are. We all say “Thanks to God” and “thanks to the law he left us”. We all live Ander the law of sowing and reaping, he who wants to live outside of this law is trying to mock God. In other words, if you don’t sow, don’t ask for or expect a harvest. A good marriage is fruit of sowing and reaping, a good relationship is a seed that produced that harvest, and economically speaking, don’t try to have an economy that is not related to sowing, because EVERYTHING that men sow, they reap. Trying to live a life in God outside of the sowing and reaping law is mocking the Lord. If you have done so, don’t mock him anymore. Check your seeds, check what you have sown, commit yourself to living a life without mocking God, without trying to Fool him or trick, honor him and you will see good days, love life controlling your mouth and sowing to reap.
