The “danger” in preaching the truth resides only in the imagination of the person who doesn’t understand the truth. The online book “HIS ACHIEVEMENT ARE WE” by James Coram needs no defence. It stands on its own merit. It has helped many people. It will help many more. All comments and questions regarding this book are responded to within the writing itself, for example, “WHAT ARE CORRECT TRANSLATIONS OF THE BIBLE?” A frequent response to first learning about the existence of this book is, “You believe the words of men, but we believe the Bible.” But the actual reading of, “HIS ACHIEVEMENT ARE WE” by James Coram will prove to all readers that JUST THE OPPOSITE IS TRUE. IMHO, "HIS ACHIEVEMENT ARE WE" by James Coram is the most powerful of all of the dozens of books that I have read, the hundreds of tapes that I have listened to, and the many online articles that I have read that show that a correctly, (literally, not interpretively) translated Bible teaches universal salvation, not eternal torment, or even annihilation. (I am 68 years old) In fact, to me it is so powerful that it renders all arguments to the contrary completely irrelevant to the truth that it proves that, by the time God’s plan for the ages of time has been consummated, the universal salvation of all sinful creatures from everything from which they need to be saved, most certainly, will have occurred. It can be read in its entirety online at http://concordant.org/expohtml/HisAchievement/index.htm http://concordant.org/expohtml/HisAchievement/index.html[/URL]]http://concordant.org/expohtml/HisAchievement/index.html Or, it can be Googled up by typing in HIS ACHIEVEMENT ARE WE It has seventeen chapters, each chapter having its own highlighted heading followed by a short introduction. Just click on the highlighted heading and the entire text of that chapter will appear. Since I have read many writings, the sum total of which contain every argument in existence in support of the idea that the Bible teaches eternal torment or annihilation, I am confident that if anyone were to read "HIS ACHIEVEMENT ARE WE" in it's entirety, they would change their mind about their belief that the Bible teaches eternal torment or annihilation. However, as a friend recently reminded me, one must be disposed of the Ultimate Placer to receive any revelation; it’s all about Sovereign causes & effects. Or as Ralph Waldo Emerson put it, “People only see what they are prepared to see.” From Rodger Tutt in Toronto, Canada “That God may be All in all” 1Cor.15:28 Write to me personally at rodgertutt@sympatico.ca |

Dear Rodger, You wrote: "The “danger” in preaching the truth resides only in the imagination of the person who doesn’t understand the truth." Universal salvation is a false teaching. the Bible makes it clear, and here is just a taste 2Th 1:9 - They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power but let's read the verse in context and in another version: 2Th 1:6 Certainly, it is right for God to give suffering to those who cause you to suffer. 2Th 1:7 It is also right for God to give all of us relief from our suffering. He will do this when the Lord Jesus is revealed, coming from heaven with his mighty angels in a blazing fire. 2Th 1:8 He will take revenge on those who refuse to acknowledge God and on those who refuse to respond to the Good News about our Lord Jesus. 2Th 1:9 They will pay the penalty by being destroyed forever, by being separated from the Lord's presence and from his glorious power. People who don’t understand the truth and people who do understand it but deny it (will not accept it) do something very dangerous. They choose instead to believe a lie and deceive themselves AND deceive many with them. I read your testimony. You have been so freaked out by the part of the truth that hurts (that we are all sinners, and the wages of sin is death), that you have overlooked the good news in the Bible: that God has provided a way of reconciliation for any who desire it. Jesus himself paid the price for our sins so that we don’t have to. The doctrine of hell has been such a great stumbling block to you that you have bought into the lies of Satan. And it is a stumbling block to many people. If someone robs another man's house, is it not right to put that man in jail? We can't just say "I can't accept that" and then go around teaching that lawlessness is not punished just because we don't want it to be true. Jail is not a nice place, and neither is Hell, but the punishment is commensurate with the crime. God is holy, and He is eternal (without beginning or end), and so to sin against a holy, eternal God is an eternal sin punishable eternally (endlessly) because He is also JUST. And since we have all sinned, that is pretty scary. Because of our own sin, we have separated ourselves from God. BUT there is more to God than that. HIS LOVE FOR US GOES BEYOND OUR SIN AGAINST HIM!!!! Joh 3:13 No one has gone to heaven except the Son of Man, who came from heaven. Joh 3:14 "As Moses lifted up the snake on a pole in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up. Joh 3:15 Then everyone who believes in him will have eternal life." Joh 3:16 God loved the world this way: He gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life. Joh 3:17 God sent his Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but to save the world. Joh 3:18 Those who believe in him won't be condemned. But those who don't believe are already condemned because they don't believe in God's only Son. Joh 3:19 This is why people are condemned: The light came into the world. Yet, people loved the dark rather than the light because their actions were evil. Joh 3:20 People who do what is wrong hate the light and don't come to the light. They don't want their actions to be exposed. Joh 3:21 But people who do what is true come to the light so that the things they do for God may be clearly seen. So, He is just, and punishes sin, but he has provided reconciliation for us- to believe in His son Jesus. And we can see from this that: God is also merciful- not giving us what we do deserve and God is graceful- giving us the favor that we do not deserve Joh 1:10 He was in the world, and the world came into existence through him. Yet, the world didn't recognize him. Joh 1:11 He went to his own people, and his own people didn't accept him. Joh 1:12 However, he gave the right to become God's children to everyone who believed in him. Joh 1:13 These people didn't become God's children in a physical way-from a human impulse or from a husband's desire to have a child. They were born from God. Joh 1:14 The Word became human and lived among us. We saw his glory. It was the glory that the Father shares with his only Son, a glory full of kindness and truth. Jesus himself spoke of hell many times. And would there be so many references to it if it did not exist? I understand your argument is not that it does not exist, but that no one is going there. However, many of the references are to warn people to walk in the way that does not lead there. If no one was going, why the warnings? Other scriptures refer to it in praise of God delivering us from it. Mat 7:12 "Always do for other people everything you want them to do for you. That is the meaning of Moses' Teachings and the Prophets. Mat 7:13 "Enter through the narrow gate because the gate and road that lead to destruction are wide. Many enter through the wide gate. Mat 7:14 But the narrow gate and the road that lead to life are full of trouble. Only a few people find the narrow gate. Mat 7:15 "Beware of false prophets. They come to you disguised as sheep, but in their hearts they are vicious wolves. Here are some scriptures about hell. We can see that there will be people that choose to go there, and there are people there. Universal salvation is a false teaching, and I greatly warn you against teaching it or following it. I recommend reading the verses on either side of the scriptures to get them in their full context. (Deu 32:22) My anger has started a fire that will burn to the depths of hell. It will consume the earth and its crops and set the foundations of the mountains on fire. (Job 11:8) God's wisdom is higher than heaven. What can you do? It is deeper than the depths of hell. What can you know? (Psa 49:14) Like sheep, they are driven to hell with death as their shepherd. (Decent people will rule them in the morning.) Their forms will decay in the grave, far away from their comfortable homes. (Psa 49:15) But God will buy me back from the power of hell because he will take me. Selah (Psa 86:13) because your mercy toward me is great. You have rescued me from the depths of hell. (Psa 139:8) If I go up to heaven, you are there. If I make my bed in hell, you are there. (Pro 5:5) Her feet descend to death. Her steps lead straight to hell. (Pro 7:27) Her home is the way to hell and leads to the darkest vaults of death. (Pro 9:18) But he does not know that the souls of the dead are there, that her guests are in the depths of hell. (Pro 15:24) The path of life for a wise person leads upward in order to turn him away from hell below. (Pro 23:14) Spank him yourself, and you will save his soul from hell. (Pro 27:20) Hell and decay are never satisfied, and a person's eyes are never satisfied. (Mat 5:29) "So if your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose a part of your body than to have all of it thrown into hell. (Mat 5:30) And if your right hand leads you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose a part of your body than to have all of it go into hell. (Mat 10:28) Don't be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Instead, fear the one who can destroy both body and soul in hell. (Mat 11:23) And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted to heaven? No, you will go down to hell! If the miracles that had been worked in you had been worked in Sodom, it would still be there today. (Mat 16:18) You are Peter, and I can guarantee that on this rock I will build my church. And the gates of hell will not overpower it. (Mat 23:15) "How horrible it will be for you, scribes and Pharisees! You hypocrites! You cross land and sea to recruit a single follower, and when you do, you make that person twice as fit for hell as you are. (Mat 23:33) "You snakes! You poisonous snakes! How can you escape being condemned to hell? (Mar 9:43) "So if your hand causes you to lose your faith, cut it off! It is better for you to enter life disabled than to have two hands and go to hell, to the fire that cannot be put out. (Mar 9:45) If your foot causes you to lose your faith, cut it off! It is better for you to enter life lame than to have two feet and be thrown into hell. (Mar 9:47) If your eye causes you to lose your faith, tear it out! It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell. (Mar 9:48) In hell worms that eat the body never die, and the fire is never put out. (Luk 10:15) And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted to heaven? No, you will go to hell! (Luk 12:5) I'll show you the one you should be afraid of. Be afraid of the one who has the power to throw you into hell after killing you. I'm warning you to be afraid of him. (Luk 16:23) He went to hell, where he was constantly tortured. As he looked up, in the distance he saw Abraham and Lazarus. (Gal 1:8) Whoever tells you good news that is different from the Good News we gave you should be condemned to hell, even if he is one of us or an angel from heaven. (Gal 1:9) I'm now telling you again what we've told you in the past: If anyone tells you good news that is different from the Good News you received, that person should be condemned to hell. (Jas 3:6) The tongue is that kind of flame. It is a world of evil among the parts of our bodies, and it completely contaminates our bodies. The tongue sets our lives on fire, and is itself set on fire from hell. (2Pe 2:4) God didn't spare angels who sinned. He threw them into hell, where he has secured them with chains of darkness and is holding them for judgment. (Jud 1:23) Save others by snatching them from the fire of hell. Show mercy to others, even though you are afraid that you might be stained by their sinful lives. (Rev 1:18) the living one. I was dead, but now I am alive forever. I have the keys of death and hell. (Rev 6:8) I looked, and there was a pale horse, and its rider's name was Death. Hell followed him. They were given power over one-fourth of the earth to kill people using wars, famines, plagues, and the wild animals on the earth. (Rev 20:13) The sea gave up its dead. Death and hell gave up their dead. People were judged based on what they had done. (Rev 20:14) Death and hell were thrown into the fiery lake. (The fiery lake is the second death.) When we get with Jesus, we repent and turn toward Him and follow Him. Sometimes we stray a little off the path and that is when the Holy Spirit guides us by conviction. If our conscience is not clear, it can be pointing to sin we haven’t repented of that needs to be turned from. I think that not letting go of sin like this can freak a person out even to a nervous breakdown because this happened to me when I got caught up in greed after I had been saved. Fear of God is a good thing. It is the beginning of wisdom. But we should not let our fear drive us to embracing and teaching false doctrine just because we would rather hold onto our hidden sin. As John 3:19 says again This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Isa 1:16 "Wash yourselves! Become clean! Get your evil deeds out of my sight. Stop doing evil. Isa 1:17 Learn to do good. Seek justice. Arrest oppressors. Defend orphans. Plead the case of widows." Isa 1:18 "Come on now, let's discuss this!" says the LORD. "Though your sins are bright red, they will become as white as snow. Though they are dark red, they will become as white as wool. (Exo 34:6) Then he passed in front of Moses, calling out, "The LORD, the LORD, a compassionate and merciful God, patient, always faithful and ready to forgive. (Psa 86:15) But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and merciful God. You are patient, always faithful and ready to forgive. (Jer 50:20) In those days and at that time," declares the LORD, "people will look for Israel's crimes, but they will find none. They will look for Judah's sins, but none will be found. I will forgive the faithful few whom I have spared. (Mic 7:18) Who is a God like you? You forgive sin and overlook the rebellion of your faithful people. You will not be angry forever, because you would rather show mercy. It is right to fear God and do right. Ps 103:17 - But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord's love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children's children-- I really hope you get this worked out with God, Rodger. In the meantime, please stop teaching universal salvation on our site, as it is totally unscriptural. God bless you, Rodger. |
