Hopefully, I can help to change your mind about what you may think you know about the Bible or God's word. If so, then maybe together we can make an impact on the world to see a new movement of God to alter our hearts toward our fellow man. Currently, you have been taught to believe that Adam disobeyed God. Sure, I understand that God commanded Adam not to eat, and the serpent pursuaded Eve to eat thereof and Adam followed after her to do the same. The latter may lead us to believe the notion that Adam disobeyed God. However, it is imperative to understand the Book of Isaiah. It defines God's word and/or the mechanics of how God word works. Bear in mind that God commands us by virtue of His word. His word has omnipotent power. The power is so great that He configured the world merely by virute of His word.
Conceptionalize a bulldozer traveling in one direction and a Volkswagon on the same path traveling in the opposite direction. If each were to meet, then the bulldozer would crush the Volkswagon, because its power would far exceed the lesser power. In contrast, God's power is a zillion times greater than the power of a bulldozer and our power is even less than a Volkswagon. Imagine if either were to meet in opposite paths. God's power would totally obliterate us. God realizes His own power and our weakness to contest Him. In His mercy, He removes us from His path of power, if we contemplate the thought that we can disobey His word. To disobey means to resist or to challenge. God doesn't permit us to resist or challenge His word. Instead, He removes us from His economy during the time frame that our mind contemplates or imagines that we have the power to not do as God commands us to do. Understand that the sea or wind etc. obeys God word. Either far exceeds our own power beyond measure. When we leave this world and continue onward in our spiritual journey, God will command us with His word to move in a specific direction. He has the exact coordinates of where He will guide us to. He demands our complete trust and/or faith that He will deliver us safely to our perdetermined destination. As such, He will not permit us to turn away to follow our own course. Otherwise, we will become lost. Our souls will drift into eternity without any guide. Earth is our training ground where we learn to walk by faith and not by sight. Instead, we place our faith in Jesus Christ. Our corporeal body is much like the training wheels that we place on our kids bike until he or she learns how to ride without them. Ond day God will remove our training wheels. We won't have the five sensory organs (i.e. eyes, ears, nose, skin or mouth) to navigate in our environment. Instead, Christ will become our sole navigational tool. In short, he will become our head and we his body. The head and body must work in unison. In respect to free will, God has given us free will to choose up to a point. God gave Adam a choice to eat from each tree in the garden up to a point. Then, God terminated the choice when it came to the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. At that point God gave Adam an ultimatum. He told him that the day that he eat thereof that he would surely die. The difference between a choice and an ultimatum is that the former doesn't incur a repercussion and the latter does.
The repercussion that Adam or Eve suffered is death. Each died a spiritual death. In essence, God disconnected each from His power. Imagine God as an electrical outlet and Adam or Eve as a lamp. If the cord is disconnected, then the light goes out. Adam and Eve moved into spiritual darkness. The serpent tricked Adam and Eve to fear that God would punish them for disobeying His command. In their ignorance they attempted to hide from God, unaware that God knew what they had done even before they did it. The truth is that God never intended to punish neither Adam nor Eve. Instead, He wanted them to learn to trust His word no matter what. God knew that it would take time for this complete faith or trust to grow in each of them. During the time period of their ignorance, God had no choice but to expel them from the Garden of Eden until such time that Adam and Eve received the spirit of Christ. We, being the descendants of Adam and Eve, were born in sin or spiritual darkness by virtue of our flesh. The crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus has afforded each of us the right to receive the baptism by fire and the Holy Ghost to be reborn in the spirit as new creatures in Christ. As homework, I need each of you to study the Thirteenth Chapter of First Kings. This biblical story is giving testimony to the account of a man of God from Judah and the false prophet of Bethel. The story testifies to the first time the word disobey is asserted in biblical text. The false prophet convicted the man of God that he had disobeyed the mouth of the Lord. The repercussion of his false belief lead to the fatal conclusion of his own death. From hence forth change your mind to trust your faith in the major prophet Isaiah concerning God's word. He testifies that God word must achieve its purpose. If someone attempts to pursuade you to believe that Adam or Eve disobeyed God, then don't contest the matter. Instead, in behalf of him or her pray to rebuke the Devil for casting his spell over the world to believe a lie. God has given us free will to choose our fate up to a point. Yet, the Bible teaches us to let God's will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Whatever, God wills, is what will be. God wills for each of us to receive salvation by virtue of His grace through Jesus Christ. Salvation does not come by our works of the law. My point is to stop thinking that the people who have broken the law or are in jail are the ones, who are going to hell. Otherwise, you may think that since the police haven't caught you breaking the law that God views you as a good person and you're going to heaven. God knows that none of you have ever turned yourself in to the police for the crimes you have committed under the table or behind closed doors that others may not know about. It may be cheating on your tax returns or falsifying a resume to get a job. I don't know what it is, but God does. The bottom line is that you have sit in judgment to condemn another, and kept your own crime a secret to evade prosecution. In God's eyes that makes you a self-righteous hypocrite. Jesus, stated that he, who is without sin cast the first stone. Did you put down your stone like Jesus said or did you throw it anyway?
Amen! |

Stanley, it sounds like you are trying to configure a theology that states that no one is going to hell. Adam and Eve most certainly did disobey God. God told them not to eat, and they did. God was not using reverse psychology. He is a man of His word and He says what He means. And He does what He says He will do. Num 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie, Neither the son of man, that he should repent: Hath he said, and will he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and will he not make it good? But instead of debating, let's just read Genesis 2:15-17 Gen 2:15 Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to farm the land and to take care of it. Gen 2:16 The LORD God commanded the man. He said, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden. Gen 2:17 But you must never eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil because when you eat from it, you will certainly die." There was a spiritual death (which produced shame and blame and all that sinful-nature stuff and we see it right away as Eve blames Satan and Adam blames both God an Eve) which was to be followed by a physical death. But God did not come right along and smite them that second. He loved them, so He made clothing of skins for them (which means God had to kill an animal). But he did tell them about the reprocussions of their actions. They were fully free to choose and they did, and Stanley, choices do have reprocussions. If I choose to walk into the middle of a busy highway, the reprocussion will be that a car will hit me. And here is what God told them after they ate from the tree: No- wait. Let's just read from Genesis 2:18 to Genesis 3 1- 24 and we will see clearly that 1. God gave them a command and free will to respond to it or to disobey it 2. God told them what the reprocussions would be if they disobeyed Him 3. Satan saught to convince them that they would not die if they ate it (making them doubt God and so defy Him, as Satan wanted them to die. Plus, in doing this Satan is basically calling God a liar and trying to make Him out to be bad by witholding something from them) 4. God followed through on what He said He would do 5. God made a way for man to be redeemed back to fellowship with God Gen 2:18 Then the LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is right for him." Gen 2:19 The LORD God had formed all the wild animals and all the birds out of the ground. Then he brought them to the man to see what he would call them. Whatever the man called each creature became its name. Gen 2:20 So the man named all the domestic animals, all the birds, and all the wild animals. But the man found no helper who was right for him. Gen 2:21 So the LORD God caused him to fall into a deep sleep. While the man was sleeping, the LORD God took out one of the man's ribs and closed up the flesh at that place. Gen 2:22 Then the LORD God formed a woman from the rib that he had taken from the man. He brought her to the man. Gen 2:23 The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh. She will be named woman because she was taken from man." Gen 2:24 That is why a man will leave his father and mother and will be united with his wife, and they will become one flesh. Gen 2:25 The man and his wife were both naked, but they weren't ashamed of it. Felt no shame, perfect relationship with God, hadn't disobeyed daddy. Everything is going well. Now here is where Satan comes in... To twist the word of God. One of his greatest deceptions is that their is no hell and that people will not suffer consequences. If he can make people believe that there is no hell, then they don't need to come to a saving knowledge of and relationship with a Savior. If that happens they will go to hell, and he is trying to get as many to go there as he can. So let us rightly divide the Word even if the truth hurts. Gen 3:1 The snake was more clever than all the wild animals the LORD God had made. He asked the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must never eat the fruit of any tree in the garden'?" Here he is twisting God's word. Gen 3:2 The woman answered the snake, "We're allowed to eat the fruit from any tree in the garden Gen 3:3 except the tree in the middle of the garden. God said, 'You must never eat it or touch it. If you do, you will die!'" Wait, Eve! He never said anything about touching it or not touching it. Only not to eat it. We must be careful not to add to or subtract from the word of God! Gen 3:4 "You certainly won't die!" the snake told the woman. Gen 3:5 "God knows that when you eat it your eyes will be opened. You'll be like God, knowing good and evil." Stanley, you said <<<The serpent tricked Adam and Eve to fear that God would punish them for disobeying His command. >>> But we can see here the exact opposite is true! Satan wanted them not to fear, but to think something good would happen! And that God was keeping something good from them. Gen 3:6 The woman saw that the tree had fruit that was good to eat, nice to look at, and desirable for making someone wise. So she took some of the fruit and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Gen 3:7 Then their eyes were opened, and they both realized that they were naked. They sewed fig leaves together and made clothes for themselves. Gen 3:8 In the cool of the evening, the man and his wife heard the LORD God walking around in the garden. So they hid from the LORD God among the trees in the garden. Gen 3:9 The LORD God called to the man and asked him, "Where are you?" Gen 3:10 He answered, "I heard you in the garden. I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid." Gen 3:11 God asked, "Who told you that you were naked? Did you eat fruit from the tree I commanded you not to eat from?" Gen 3:12 The man answered, "That woman, the one you gave me, gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it." Now Adam isn't taking responsibility for his actions. He was offered the fruit, but he didn't have to eat it. No one forced it down his mouth, and he didn't forget what God had told him. So he blames Eve, but he also blames God for giving her to him! Oh, my!! Gen 3:13 Then the LORD God asked the woman, "What have you done?" "The snake deceived me, and I ate," the woman answered. Again- blame the snake. Gen 3:14 So the LORD God said to the snake, "Because you have done this, You are cursed more than all the wild or domestic animals. You will crawl on your belly. You will be the lowest of animals as long as you live. Gen 3:15 I will make you and the woman hostile toward each other. I will make your descendants and her descendant hostile toward each other. He will crush your head, and you will bruise his heel." Verse 15 here is the first mention made of the Messiah ('her descendant'- Jesus was the son of a woman and the Holy Spirit, not from the seed of a man). This is the beginning of the 'crimson thread'. Gen 3:16 He said to the woman, "I will increase your pain and your labor when you give birth to children. Yet, you will long for your husband, and he will rule you." Gen 3:17 Then he said to the man, "You listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree, although I commanded you, 'You must never eat its fruit.' The ground is cursed because of you. Through hard work you will eat food that comes from it every day of your life. Gen 3:18 The ground will grow thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat wild plants. Gen 3:19 By the sweat of your brow, you will produce food to eat until you return to the ground, because you were taken from it. You are dust, and you will return to dust." We see here is verse 19, God is telling him that there will be a physical death. Well, God is no liar. Humans die, and we are buried. Gen 3:20 Adam named his wife Eve [Life] because she became the mother of every living person. Gen 3:21 The LORD God made clothes from animal skins for the man and his wife and dressed them. So God covered them with a skin. This means he killed an animal. This was the first type and shadow for the later animal sacrifices performed by the nation of Israel for the daily and yearly forgiveness of sin, which were aslo temporary, until when Jesus came to shed his blood, thereby paying the price once for all. Gen 3:22 Then the LORD God said, "The man has become like one of us, since he knows good and evil. He must not reach out and take the fruit from the tree of life and eat. Then he would live forever." It would not be cool for sinful man to live forever. God is holy. So He provided a way for the universe to be cleansed of sin and for man to be redeemed. So, since we have inherited from Adam the result of disobedience, namely death, we are born and are physical bodies head toward death. Spiritually, all man have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God Romans 3:23, and Rom 6:23 The payment for sin is death, but the gift that God freely gives is everlasting life found in Christ Jesus our Lord. Gen 3:23 So the LORD God sent the man out of the Garden of Eden to farm the ground from which the man had been formed. Gen 3:24 After he sent the man out, God placed angels and a flaming sword that turned in all directions east of the Garden of Eden. He placed them there to guard the way to the tree of life. Disobey- to neglect or refuse to obey. —Synonyms defy, disregard, resist, ignore, oppose. v. intr. To refuse or fail to follow an order or rule. v. tr. To refuse or fail to obey (an order or rule). And you said <<God doesn't permit us to resist or challenge His word. Instead, He removes us from His economy during the time frame that our mind contemplates or imagines that we have the power to not do as God commands us to do.>> He absolutely does permit us to resist and challenge. He gives us guidelines and tells us "If you do these things, there is life. If you do not, this bad stuff will happen." (my paraphrase) Read Deuteronomy. Jesus also teaches us how to live- how to love God an done another. And the books of the New testament show us how to live holy lives in communion with God and each other and warns against backsliding. Jesus talks of hell quite a bit. You also said << As such, He will not permit us to turn away to follow our own course. Otherwise, we will become lost. Our souls will drift into eternity without any guide.>> Those without Jesus are lost. Our souls will go to hell and not drift about aimlessly in eternity. He allows us to become lost if that is what we choose to do, but in the meantime, He sends people to minister to us and try to win us back to the truth. He does not stop looking and the Bible says that all of heaven rejoices when one sinner is saved. But God is not a control-freak. He wants us to want him. But if we don't, if we say all our lives "No, God. I don't want you. I don't need you", then after we die, that is exactly what we will get. An eternity without God- and that is hell. |

I have prepared an ABC example to help us to understand how God commands us through the Holy Ghost. Hopefully, it is simple enough for a kindergarten child to learn. If any needs greater clarification, then I will be happy to assist.
In comparison, God is similar to the mother board of our personal computer. Each of us is similar to a peripheral or auxiliary component. The Holy Ghost serves as either our connector or driver. God can drive us through the Holy Ghost to obey His will. If our connection to the Holy Ghost is broken, then God can't drive us on a straight line. As a result, we become lost and/or confused to do God's will. The serpent exploits our imagination to foster an illusion that we, as the peripheral or auxiliary component of God, have the power to disobey Jesus' command. The illusion prompts our human emotions to feel shame and/or guilt. The latter induces us to point fingers to accuse or blame the other of committing sins. God is aware of the tactics of the serpent to dupe us to point blame. As such, He sent His beloved Son Jesus to inform us that God has forgiven each of us for our sins. Jesus has commanded us to forgive our brothers and sisters. If we have truly received the baptism of the Holy Ghost, then we will do as Jesus commands. Otherwise, we will continue to point fingers at each other. The serpent has sent false prophets and antichrists in the world to keep us pointing fingers and/or blame towards our brothers or sisters. Our goal is to tell the truth and shame the devil. The truth is that God's word doesn't return to Him void. Rather, it accomplishes His will. Adam and Eve did not have the Holy Ghost. As such, God couldn't drive them to obey His command. Only, until the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ did we receive the power and authority of the Holy Ghost.
Amen! |

Universal salvation is unscriptural, and sin is not an illusion. Stanley, you said, ¡§The serpent exploits our imagination to foster an illusion that we, as the peripheral or auxiliary component of God, have the power to disobey Jesus' command. The illusion prompts our human emotions to feel shame and/or guilt. The latter induces us to point fingers to accuse or blame the other of committing sins.¡¨ If the ability to disobey God is an illusion, then sin is not a reality. And if there is no such thing as sin, then man has not been separated from God, and Jesus died for nothing. The Bible says He bore (carriedd) our sins in his body 1Pe 2:24 Christ carried our sins in his body on the cross so that freed from our sins, we could live a life that has God's approval. His wounds have healed you. If sin is an illusion, then what was He bearing? Maybe He just went to the cross because he enjoyed pain and being separated from God. Maybe the Father just felt like bankrupting heaven for kicks and giggles. Furthermore, if disobedience is an illusion, then why so many warnings about sin all throughout the Bible? God is not a liar. If universal salvation is the case, then God does not punish sin, and there is no divine justice (which means God is not just). And if God is not just, then He cannot be good, and therefore is not God. Jesus died so that we could get back to heaven. But not everyone will go. Jesus talked about there being people in hell because they did not choose to believe. The first chapter of John says about Jesus: Joh 1:11 He came to his own country, but his own people did not receive him. Joh 1:12 Some, however, did receive him and believed in him; so he gave them the right to become God's children. Well, this means that there were people who did not receive Him. I am curious to know which scriptures you can cite to back up this theory that disobedience to God is an illusion. We cannot take one scripture (Isaiah 55:11, for example) and build our own theology around it. We need to look at the Bible as a whole and get the whole picture- and we need to take scriptures in context. We are not a component of God- we are a creation, created in His image. He exists independently of us, but we are dependent on him. So I can see your likening us to a peripheral and God to a motherboard. The motherboard can function without the peripheral, but the peripheral can not function without the motherboard. And I think your parallel of a driver to the Holy Spirit is interesting. But computer parts are mechanical and don¡¦t make choices. They do not think independently nor do they have freewill. Humans, however, have been given this ability to choose to obey or to disobey. The Holy Spirit is there to convict (convince) us of sin so that we can respond by avoiding it or disengaging from participating in it. We can see here in these next scriptures that we do, indeed have the power to make decisions- to obey or to disobey. Jam 1:14 Everyone is tempted by his own desires as they lure him away and trap him. Jam 1:15 Then desire becomes pregnant and gives birth to sin. When sin grows up, it gives birth to death. Deu 30:15 Today I offer you life and prosperity or death and destruction. Deu 30:16 This is what I'm commanding you today: Love the LORD your God, follow his directions, and obey his commands, laws, and rules. Then you will live, your population will increase, and the LORD your God will bless you in the land that you're about to enter and take possession of. Deu 30:17 But your hearts might turn away, and you might not listen. You might be tempted to bow down to other gods and worship them. Deu 30:18 If you do, I tell you today that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live for a long time in the land that you're going to take possession of when you cross the Jordan River. Deu 30:19 I call on heaven and earth as witnesses today that I have offered you life or death, blessings or curses. Choose life so that you and your descendants will live. Deu 30:20 Love the LORD your God, obey him, and be loyal to him. This will be your way of life, and it will mean a long life for you in the land that the LORD swore to give to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. So then, when we look at this whole picture- the whole Word- the two choices we can make, and the results of each choice. God will punish the wicked, and he will redeem those that seek to follow him (they follow because they believe what he says- that He is who He says he is, and that He will do what he says He will do). Holy Spirit Eph 4:30 Don't give God's Holy Spirit any reason to be upset with you. He has put his seal on you for the day you will be set free from the world of sin. Joh 16:7 However, I am telling you the truth: It's good for you that I'm going away. If I don't go away, the helper won't come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you. Joh 16:8 He will come to convict the world of sin, to show the world what has God's approval, and to convince the world that God judges it. Joh 16:9 He will convict the world of sin, because people don't believe in me. Joh 16:10 He will show the world what has God's approval, because I'm going to the Father and you won't see me anymore. Joh 16:11 He will convince the world that God judges it, because the ruler of this world has been judged. Joh 16:12 "I have a lot more to tell you, but that would be too much for you now. Joh 16:13 When the Spirit of Truth comes, he will guide you into the full truth. He won't speak on his own. He will speak what he hears and will tell you about things to come. The Holy Spirit is personal. Here, we can see that the Holy Spirit is not a mechanism, but a person. He is called ¡¥the helper¡¦ in verse 7. The Greek word ¡§paracletos¡¨ is also defined as ¡¥intercessor, consoler, advocate, comforter¡¦. The driver in a computer doesn¡¦t get upset about anything (refer to Ephesians 4:30). A person can exist without the Holy Spirit (we can choose to ignore Him and to go against our conscience- thereby giving Him a reason to be upset with us), but without a driver, computer parts won¡¦t work at all. Verse 8 says, ¡§He will convict the world of sin¡K¡¨. The word in Greek ¡¥elegcho¡¦ (pronounced ¡§el-eng¡¦-kho¡¨) is defined as ¡§to confute, admonish:-convict, convince, tell a fault, rebuke, reprove¡¨. Well, if sin (disobedience) is an illusion, then what is the Holy Spirit doing? Verse 13 says he will guide. To guide is quite different than to force. This Greek word for ¡¥guide¡¦ is ¡¥hodegeo¡¦, defined as ¡§to show the way (literally or figuratively [teach]):- guide, lead. Someone being guided always has the option to not follow. Even in the military, a person can choose to go A.W.O.L. or otherwise disobey orders, and face the consequences. They are aware of the consequences and still choose that way¡K just as Adam and Eve were aware of the consequences but still chose to disobey. I understand that you were probably not aware of these scriptures, which is why we must be so careful to know the Word so that we will not be teaching heresy. 2Ti 2:15 Study earnestly to present yourself approved to God, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth. Interestingly enough, a friend and I were visiting someone in the hospital yesterday, and my friend had her 21 year-old son with her. He was trying to be helpful and bring some scriptures to the table, but then he quoted the movie "The Matrix" and said, "there is no spoon." So we really need to watch out that we don't mix Hinduism and things from Hollywood into Biblical theology just because it sounds cool and mysterious. Theology from The Matrix is based in eastern philosophy- that reality is an illusion and things of this nature which contradict what the Word of God says. One drop of poison in a bottle of pure spring water makes it not pure anymore, and would you drink it? Ecc 10:1 Dead flies will make a bottle of perfume stink, and then it is spoiled. A little foolishness outweighs wisdom and honor. Are you aware that what you are preaching is not Biblical Christianity, but Theosophy? In the book ¡§Kingdom of the Cults¡¨ by Walter Martin, there is some information about Theosophy. Here are some quick facts: „h Theosophy teaches a pantheistic, impersonal Supreme Being. „h Jesus Christ is not unique: Jesus is a reincarnated being separate from ¡¥christ¡¦. All men become christs. „h Mahatmas or Masters communicate esoteric truths through reincarnated emissaries, of whom Madame Blavatsky and Annie Besant are among the few. „h Theosophy draws its authoritative teaching from Hindu, Buddhist, and early Gnostic sources. The Bible is used minimally to proof-text preconceived Theosophical notions. „h Reincarnation is the way of salvation. What you are talking about with this so-called illusion that man can disobey is a Hindu teaching. It is antithetical to what the Bible teaches. And you have chosen only one scripture to back up your claims. One branch of Hinduism stresses the impersonal aspect of God, suggesting the world is an illusion. The movie The Matrix uses this ¡¥reality is an illusion Hindu philosophy. But let¡¦s look at Theosophy a little more and see more of how eastern ideas are mixed with scriptures to create fatal theological errors. Martin also illustrates about Theosophy: ¡§Theosophists are great admirers of the Gnostics, and this is not at all surprising, since they have adopted much of the terminology and vocabulary of ancient Gnosticism, which looked with disdain upon the material properties of both the world and man, depersonalized God, and created various planes of spiritual progression, culminating in universal salvation and reconciliation through reincarnation and the wheel concept of progression borrowed unblushingly from Buddhism. Theosophy does not hesitate to declare that ¡¥God and man are the two phases of the one eternal life and consciousness that constitutes our universe! The idea of the immanence of God is that He is the universe; although he is also more than it is; that the solar system is an emanation of the Supreme Being as clouds are an emanation of the sea. This conception makes man a part of God, having potentially within him all the attributes and powers of the Supreme Being. It is the idea that nothing exists except God, and that humanity is one portion of him- one phase of his being. (L.W. Rogers, from Elementary Theosophy)¡¦ And finally, if Adam did not disobey, they how can you reconcile Romans 5:14? It says plainly the Adam did disobey. Rom 5:14 Yet, death ruled from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin in the same way Adam did when he disobeyed. Adam is an image of the one who would come. Rom 5:15 There is no comparison between God's gift and Adam's failure. If humanity died as the result of one person's failure, it is certainly true that God's kindness and the gift given through the kindness of one person, Jesus Christ, have been showered on humanity. Rom 5:16 There is also no comparison between God's gift and the one who sinned. The verdict which followed one person's failure condemned everyone. But, even after many failures, the gift brought God's approval. |

Sorry, that I may have offended any with my analogy. Yet, an analogy is a literary tool to draw a parallel between like phenomena. It enables one to convey a thought by comparing a known concept with one that may be unknown or misuderstood. I chose to use computers as an analogy in that we live in the age of technology. Many persons can visualize how computers execute commands. Jesus spoke in parables as metaphors to explain the Kingdom of God. The Pharisees and Sadducees did to him the same as you're doing to me. They were politicians and espoused political correctness. I am not a pc Christian. |

Stanley, it is not about the analogy, it is about the fact that Adam did, in fact, disobey God, and any teaching contrary to this is heresy. We have given plenty of scripture to back this up. Franlky, I don't know where you got that idea, unless there are large parts of the Bible you didn't read or you think that God is lying and the Bible is wrong. Please don't teach doctrines that contradict what scripture plainly says. Thanks. |
