Thanks to all y'all for praying for me to get a sweet new place! Well, the Good Lord got me out of the little one bedroom basement slum with the windows that leaked that you could not see out of, with the 30 yr old carpet, where there was mold and rust, and where my mail got wet and froze inside the mailbox every winter and where the backyard was a 50/50 mix of gravel and weeds. I wanted to stay in the area. He moved me 4 blocks down the street.... TO A BEAUTIFUL 2 bedroom duplex HOUSE with a GARAGE and a BEAUTIFUL GRASSY YARD, nice paintjob, new carpet, new furnace and appliances, and full of windows and light. I will not be used to living here for a long time. I feel like I am in a dream. I want to kiss his toes!! Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart! At one point, I started to lose hope (because I had looked into a small house in the summer-very small but nice- and it fell through), and so resigned myself to fixing up the little slum and making it nice and I will just be content there. Foolish heart, why do you doubt? Stuff like this lets me know that I have so much farther to go in developing steadfastness in faith. <sigh> |
