Newbie Posts: 3 Group: Members Member #45 Joined: April 24, 2006	I met a man at a christian chat room one night, he came in and said his friend had overdosed on cocaine and was probly dead somewhere. That he, himself was probly going back to jail soon and would anyone talk to him. No one talked to him. So I I.M.ed him and we began to talk. I asked if he was saved=did he know Jesus as his Savior. He said he was saved once but probly not now. We talked for a while and then for several more days. He related this story to me and how God is keeping him alive for some reason or he would have died that day on the lake. and he wanted to get right with God. God heard his cry and is,(I believe) going to turn this fellas life around. He told me that he had gone to visit his mom at her condo which is on a lake in Ohio. The lake was pretty much frozen, he was on the balcony and the neighbor lady said "someone save my dog!" Not thinking of anything but helping the dog, the guy goes out onto the ice. Said he scooted on his belly to where the dog was, in the hole where the ice had broken thru and the dog had fallen in. he said he reached down far to grab the dog as he was exausted from trying to get out himself. When he finally got a grip on the collar, he pulled the dog out of the water and they both scooted back to the shore. I said "wow that is an awesome story." After i quit talkin to this fella, God said read that story again. So i did. This is what God told me to tell that guy about his true life story and how that insident relates to what Jesus did for us and what God still does for us today. There was a duck involved in the story, for this is why the dog went out on the ice,=chasing the duck. God said the duck represents the devil.=he lures us(we're the dog) to things that we think are ok or good and it turns out to not be=like the ice on the lake. In our eye view everything looks okay and we just want to have some fun with that duck. But then he gets out on "thin ice" and we fall into the trap. the devil says "Gotcha" and he leaves us there to drown. We think maybe we can get out of this by ourselves. but in reality all we do is sink deeper and deeper . Its at that point we either give up and die and go to hell (sorry folks thats the reality) to be with the evil one who got us here in the first place, or ..... we cry out to God. Cry out to the true and living God,.... the only One who can save us!!!!! And just when you think youre going under for sure, this hand, this Man,=Jesus who only thought of the salvation of humanity= you and me, reaches down and grabs you by your collar(which to me, represents Gods grip on your life) and pulls you out of the icy water. He brings you to safety, where you are eternally safe. I think this is an awesome story in two ways, 1: that this was a true story and 2: how God revealed His salvation plan to this man thru his own life situation. I bet if we thought about it we could all find salvation in our own life story. How God has been there even when we didnt know it or want to acknowledge it. If you havent gotten out of the icy water yet, its time to cry out, and let Jesus grab you out and bring you to eternal safety. I praise you Lord, may You have all the Glory for what Youre doing in my life and may Your blessings and mercy pore out on all those who read this and come to know You as Savior. In Jesus precious name. Amen.

Administrator Posts: 267 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: October 19, 2005	THank you for this post i really like it , you are right they are sometimes things happen in our life that we not understund it , but if we think about it we can see God talk to us throiugh this things , i just remember the way Jesus talk to his desciple and to ppl using parables , i add my prayers to yours Praize the Lord , Glory to king of kings and Lord of lords .
