It is that day, that day of the year when warriors from around the wrestling world gather with the goal of deciding who is going to stand tall as champion, as the lone man or woman in the spotlight. The fans gather around the ring and make their way inside to see how this night's event will compare with those that have come before. Ricky Simms sits down at ringside and puts on his headset.

"They had better knock this one out of the park," he says to Henry Lesher who is just taking his seat as well.

"It looks like everyone showed up, so there should be a lot of buys for this show and maybe I get a good payday out of it, too." He clears his throat. "Now, to get into character."

Backstage, Eli Brody is going through things in his mind when Max Cameron walks into the locker room. "Well, look who showed up."

"Don't start."

"We are supposed to be putting this company on the map and you haven't showed for a single practice."

"Just forget it. I am here now." Max throws down his duffel bag and starts setting his clothes out for the match tonight. He looks up and sees Slim Pickens near the door to the bathroom, arms folded across his chest and a smirk on his face. "Oh, I don't have the patience..."

Slim laughs and walks over to Max and Eli. "This is the big one, boys! I finally get to wear the title belt as the champion of this company. They are lucky to have me."

"That is a matter of opinion," Eli says with a look towards Max.

"It's my opinion and that makes it the right one."

Slim moves and while at ringside Kosmic Kitty checks herself out in her pocket mirror. She may just be doing the ring announcing tonight, but she has dreams of doing more than this and Warriors is one event which gives her maximum exposure to the world at large.

The fans are noisy and excited as they continue making their way to their seats, hoping for a great night which celebrates the very best that the industry has to offer. We are thirty minutes to ring time at this stage.

Match #1 - Max Cameron vs. Frank Merritt

The cage was lowered fifteen minutes prior to the match starting and the crowd was treated to a solid match between Max and Frank, with both men fighting from corner to corner inside the cage. Max was bleeding badly by the end of the match thanks to Frank's work with a steel chair and Frank was limping thanks to Max's work with a kendo stick on his right leg in an effort to weaken the stronger man.

Ricky Simms was heard complaining loudly about Frank cutting Max open while Henry Lesher jumped up from the desk and offered to help. Lesher was not impressed that Frank ignored the offer, but he didn't stop cheering for the self-proclaimed monster of the CWA anyway.

The finish came at 14:27 of the match when Max Cameron launched himself off the top rope and took a boot to the chin followed by a spike DDT from Frank who then stepped out the front door of the cage as the winner of the match. He then chose to head back into the cage and start a beat down on Max Cameron which drew the ire of the crowd.

Henry Lesher actually stood on the announce table and he applauded Frank's actions.

Frank's assault was ended when he was attacked inside the cage by Myst who made the save for Max with a chair in hand. A baffled crowd was matched only by a completely baffled Max when he saw who had chased Frank out of the cage. Frank walked away with a smile on his face and swore that this was only the beginning, only a hint of the things to come.

It was announced in between matches that Frank Merritt had suffered a shoulder injury in his match with Max Cameron that would not allow him to participate in the action further that evening and he had some words with Wyatt Gibson when he was made aware of this fact.

"You can't do this to me," Frank said at the door to the GM's office.

"I cannot allow you to wrestle when our doctors won't clear it."

"I can beat anyone left in this lousy tournament with one arm tied behind my back. Book it, Gibson."

"Not going to happen, Frank. You'll get your shot soon enough."

Match #2 - Vesuvius vs. Unbroken Silence

This is where the Originals made their first appearance of the night. Vesuvius faced a man who hadn't been seen inside a CWA ring before, managed by Shengee Shmelky who appears to have gone to the dark side. Unbroken Silence managed to hold his own with Vesuvius and actually scored the upset victory when Shengee distracted Vesuvius during the match.

Ricky Simms was impressed by the newcomer and actually said it was about time a new Original showed up who could handle Vesuvius in a fair fight. Lesher pointed out that he hadn't won a fair fight and that the Originals are, in his opinion, still lacking in every area.

The match itself was over at the 8:46 mark and the fans seemed genuinely surprised that Vesuvius was out in the first round when he had been pushed as the likely winner prior to Battle of the Warriors.

There was said to be a confrontation backstage after the match between Shengee and his twin brother Ingee.

"What are you doing cheating like that?"

"I only provided a distraction. Vesuvius didn't kick out."

"Yeah, we always agreed we would go out there, give the fans something to remember and just enjoy being in this business."

"I want to win, Ingee. I want to win."

Match #3 - Roca Palomitas vs. Kira Yakamoto

The fans loved this one. It lasted over twenty minutes and it started with Kira on the offensive. She managed to use her high flying tactics to ground Roca and she won over the crowd. Kira battled in the aisles which led to Lesher and Simms having this exchange at ringside.

"Well, she is fighting your way Doc."

"Yet I still dislike her a lot."

"She is fighting with everything she has against tough odds."

"I am really more of a bullying and ridiculing fan than that of an underdog, Rick."

"What is she started bullying Roca?"

"There's a better chance I would bully Roca."

"He's right there."

"I wouldn't want to risk losing my voice."

"Sure you wouldn't. Doc."

At the 21:45 mark of the match, Roca Palomitas drove Kira through a concessions stand with a Rock Bottom and secured himself the first round victory. This did not dampen the fans' enthusiasm as a "Thank you Kira" chant echoes throughout the arena after the match was finished. Roca actually raised her hand and showed her some respect in victory before he made his way back to the locker room. Kira was seen talking with interviewer Ray Dees shortly after that.

"You had quite the match tonight, Kira."

"But I lost."

"The fans are on your side. You were very close to the win. You force fed the man popcorn. I never saw that before."

"I wanted to choke him with it. It looks like the only choking done tonight was by me and never again."

"I would not say you choked."

"Your opinion isn't important, Dees. Roca, if you're watching this, I will defeat you when we meet again. The CWA is a small place and you can't hide from me for long.

Match #4 - Samson vs. Noah Skanes

This feud has raged for years now, the one wrestler who has been a thorn in the side of the owner's son and has never accepted defeat. Samson came into this match with the bragging rights of holding the last victory over Noah and he started the match with complete control over the action. He actually had Noah down for multiple two counts when Blair Drake showed up at ringside and the crowd booed him loudly, sensing that he was here to make Noah's night even worse.

At ringside, Simms and Lesher seemed to enjoy the action even as Lesher tried to deny it.

"This Blair Drake has always made me think he could have done great things in matches against people like Leech, Razor and Frank."

"So you're a fan of his then?"

"Don't push it that far, Rick."

"But you said he could do great things."

"He is a shiny stone among some stupid rocks. Let's not make him out to be a diamond though. He is still a stone."

"So is a diamond."

"You're just being difficult."

Noah did manage to make the match more competitive as it passed the ten minute mark. Noah also broke the Spanish announce table when he tossed Samson through it from inside the ring. Blair Drake then jumped onto the ring apron with the intention of distracting Noah. Instead, Shannon Skanes made his way to ringside and he got into a fight with Blair. Steve Hawkins came out to attack Shannon and this drew Bruce Miller out into the battle. Samson rolled himself into the ring to avoid the fight at ringside and walked right into a DDT from Noah who then won at the 13:42 mark of the match. General manager Wyatt Gibson then announced that Miller and Skanes would battle Drake and Hawkins one last time later tonight. That made the fans cheer as they were also happy to see Noah get the win.

While Noah headed for the back, Shengee and Unbroken Silence were seen watching him from a monitor backstage and Shengee was talking strategy while the man he managed said nothing, of course. It is a little early for the new guy to change his name.

Match #5 - Eli Brody vs. Eddie Johnson

Eddie insisted on putting the 24/7 hardcore title on the line in this match. He said he would be wearing two title belts when everything was said and done. Eli actually argued against making this match a hardcore title match, but the referee was forced to allow it to be on the line as is the 24/7 nature of the belt. This made their match a no disqualification match which, again, seemed to please Eddie and annoy Eli.

Lesher and Simms were torn on how they viewed this change.

"Well, we saw a cage match and we saw a falls count anywhere match. This is starting to feel like ECW."

"Rick, I hate to agree with you, but I do. I am starting to think this Johnson guy just doesn't play with a full deck."

"That could be said of a lot of the talent on this roster."

"Stop making me agree with you, Rick. I don't want 2014 to be the year of the apocalypse."

Eli managed to hold his own in a match that featured numerous tables inside the ring. Both men went through two tables each and managed to kick out when the pin was attempted. The fans appreciated their work and Eli seemed to be fighting voices in his head while the match continued passed the fifteen minute mark. Both men were bloodied from chair shots to the head when Eddie manages a belly to belly suplex which dropped Eli's back onto a chair. Eddie went for the pin and Eli reversed it and almost got the three count.

Lesher stood up at ringside and held up a sign that read "I want NC-17," but when Eli saw it, he shook his head and tore the sign up. Lesher seemed genuinely hurt by this action and returned to ringside telling Ricky Simms he had changed his mind on who he wanted to win this match.

Eddie took the match to ringside and set up the ring steps, leaning them against the ring apron. He set for a bulldog that would have drove Eli face first into the steps. Instead, Eli managed to put Johnson on his back with a tilt a whirl suplex which drove him into the ring steps. Eli then scored the pinfall win and the match was done at the 17:28 mark which drew loud cheers from the fans. Lesher actually cheered despite the sign ripping that had taken place and said he still held out hope for Eli to return to his roots. Eli was then handed the hardcore title which he accepted, but didn't seem to really want much to do with.

It was at this point that Corina and Chastity hit the ring for an unexpected visit. They trash talked the entire CWA women's division and they were quite cocky about what they would do if given the chance when they were flattened from behind by Wren SilverPhoenix in a cameo appearance. She gave both ladies a series of brutal slams and kicks while the fans chanted "You've still got it." Wren took offense to this and yelled at the fans that she isn't that old, giving them the finger before she left the ring.

Match #6 - Trevor Lang vs. Kindred

Orlock has been booked to fight this one, but a knee injury sidelined him and Kindred took his spot. Lang was in his first BOTW as a singles wrestler, son of Original legend Steve Lang. Much like his father, his technical skill is second to none and he used chain wrestling and his speed to keep Kindred off balance and literally off his feet well into the match. Lesher was cheering for one thing in this match.

"I want to see a run in by Shengee here, really show what he's made of."

"I doubt that will happen."

"He is tired of losing, Rick. He'll beat up this Lang kid and make his mark in.... ugh, I can't even joke about it. This is just awful. Why am I here?"

Kindred turned the tide around the five minute mark when Lang left an opening and an upper cut got through. Kindred then tossed Lang over the top rope to the floor before he headed out of the ring and schooled the young CWA star. Kindred then rolled Lang into the ring and went for the pin. Lang kicked out, but we was really out of it. Kindred continued to beat down Trevor Lang until father Steve Lang rushed to the ring and pleaded with the referee to call the match and then pleaded for mercy from Kindred.

"He wants mercy for his son?"

"Doc, any father would not want to see this happen. I speak from experience."

"Well, your sons are good at getting beat up."

Kindred refused to let up and attacked Steve Lang. He then went back after Trevor. The referee debated whether or not to call the match and checked on just how out of it Trevor was. Deciding there was the potential for a concussion at this point, he did call the match. Kindred stood tall while the fans voiced their disapproval at only the 8:21 mark of the match. It meant Kindred was still fresh going on in tonight's action.

Corina and Chastity were seen backstage trying to track down Wren, but they managed to stumble upon and then get beat up by Xandra instead. The fans loved seeing this on the big screen as Corina and Chastity continued to have a night they would rather forget.

Match #7 - Slim Pickens vs. Rose Lemieux

The fans went crazy for this one as Rose and Slim emerged on stage already brawling. Slim then dragged Rose by the hair to ringside, sat down on the ring steps and then spanked Rose for being disobedient to him. She was enraged by that and she actually took over the match once it finally reached the ring. She choked him with the bottom rope, eye gouged him with the ropes as well and was dangerously close to getting disqualified in one of the rare matches tonight which had actual rules to it.

Lesher and Simms seemed to both be on the fence as to who they would like to see win it, though Lesher stated no woman should be in the semi finals of a tournament that could respect itself the morning after.

Rose took the match out of the ring and Slim took control of momentum again. He actually reached under the ring and found a paddle he admitted he put under the ring before the show. He told Rose she was going to get paddled for her continued lack of respect for the greatest star in the CWA now or ever. Rose managed to grab the paddle from Slim and she tossed it aside rather than risk losing the match by DQ. The fans are torn on who they want to win the match, a split that gets worse as the match gets longer.

There is chaos as the referee is taken down by an accidental hit by Slim and then Rose is down for the count. When the referee managed to come to, Rose actually scores the win with a roll up. Wyatt Gibson comes out and states that after twenty minutes of action in this one, they will hit the showers and then come out and do it over again later tonight.

"Oh God, why? I don't want to watch this match twice," Lesher said.

"I am actually happy about that. I would not want this match to end that way. I want a fair finish."

Match #8 - Night Dweller vs. Scavenger

The crowd went insane when Scavenger's music hit, but they were disappointed that he didn't bring the beloved chair with him for this match. Night Dweller actually was well received by fans who recall his run as CWA champion from years gone by. It was a battle we had seen many times before that was made new this night.

Simms remember that Night Dweller had been a particularly annoying thorn in the side of his son Carl and Lesher was asking if there was anyone who couldn't beat up his son. He also said he was disappointed to see Scavenger wrestling instead of the chair.

Night Dweller was in control early, but Scavenger's power took over around the five minute mark and he made it clear he wasn't here to lose graciously tonight. He did his best to make Night Dweller submit to various finishing holds, but Dweller proved himself to be tough by refusing to give in and go home like that.

There was some concern over how this would finish as Black Panther came to ringside while Scavenger looked set to end it. Before he could do any damage, he was run off by Scavenger's younger brother Fixxxer. That brought the Original fans to their feet.

Night Dweller did manage to get control of the match back and was in position to end it when he went for a superplex which Scavenger fought his way out of before nailing his nemesis with the second rope spear into the pinfall victory at 13:11 of the match. It was a rare win for Scavenger against Night Dweller and he told the fans this was just the beginning of something magical.

There was a backstage segment with Wyatt Gibson discussing the two tournaments with Myst who seemed against this idea. She stated the Originals should be on their own show away from the other talent. Wyatt refused to change the show mid-stream like that which pleased the fans.

Match #9 - Southern Comfort vs. Eddie Johnson and Sonya Asthon-Patel

The challengers came out first and they were over with the fans. The more they insulted Vancouver and its Canucks, the more they were cheered. They gave up on turning the crowd against them as the champions made their way to the ring, Johnson still livid over losing his hardcore title belt. He shouted at everyone, including his tag team partner, that justice would be served before the night was over.

"He really seems intense going into his second match of the night, Doc."

"I think he needs to cut down on the caffeine."

"You usually like the out of control types."

"Not when they are this mentally challenged, Rick."

"You managed BasketKase."

"He was a genius by comparison."

"He only knew the word 'meat'."

"Exactly."

The challengers dominated early as Johnson stubbornly started the match and showed some wear and tear from the match he had already been in tonight. He did manage to tag in Sonya and that turned the tide in the champions' favor. Southern Comfort was biding their time, though and, once Sonya took the match out of the ring, they pounced. The Hill brothers double teamed Sonya with a double vertical suplex onto the floor and then they hit a double clothesline to the floor as well. Johnson rushed over to break it up while Kenneth Hill took the action back into the ring and would have won the match if Sonya hadn't got her foot on the bottom rope.

"We nearly had new champs there."

"I nearly found relief from this match then. Just the sound of Johnson's voice gives me a headache."

"You finally know my pain, Doc."

The fans booed as the Hills took the match back to the floor and the referee tried to call the match a draw on a double count out. Wyatt Gibson came out and ordered for the match to be restarted with no count outs. Again, the usually hated Wyatt was a fan favorite even if only for a moment. The Hills pulled the nearly out cold Sonya into the ring, but they wasted time and she rolled to her corner and made the tag. Johnson rushed into the ring and cleaned house, then went for a finish on James Hill. He beat down James in impressive fashion only to have Kenneth roll him up for the pin as he was still the legal man, waiting on the floor for the right moment to pounce.

"We have new tag team champions!"

"It's over. It is finally over."

Eddie Johnson exited the ring and trashed ringside, throwing chairs and event threatening the timekeeper who did an excellent job timing the match out to 20:14 before the match ended with the Hills on top and with newly won gold. Johnson actually had to be removed from ringside by security and he kept shouting that this was not over and we hadn't seen the last of him tonight.

The cameras followed him backstage and showed security locking him in a storage closet before cracking a joke about that shutting him up. He could still be heard shouting and banging on the door while Henry Lesher said he was disturbed a storage closet would lock in such a manner and could only be used for kidnapping. He said if he cared about Eddie he would phone the cops, but he ordered a chili cheese dog instead.

Match #10 - Glamour Girls (Kathy Smith, Lauren Strong, Kelly Buchanan) vs. Team Canada (Kaleigh Simms, Jordan Gibson, Neriah Sweet)

The crowd was dead at the start of this one until Jordan Gibson started choking Kelly Buchanan. When Kelly freed herself, Jordan grabbed at Kelly and tore off her top which left the fans screaming with cheers and Lesher screaming for salt in his eyes. The battle continued with each three woman team trying to humiliate the other.

"Well, good thing we don't have to worry about censors tonight."

"I have to worry about my lunch coming back up. I actually would prefer that to this.

"You are in the minority, sir."

The finish occurred when Kathy Smith scored the pin on a sit out power bomb against Neriah Sweet. Kathy then pulled off Neriah's tights and threw them to the crowd while the underwear-clad star tried to escape the ring. Kathy then took a spear to the mat from an interfering Rose Lemieux and the crowd booed as Rose ran The Glamour Girls off. This is the only time Henry Lesher has ever or will ever applaud Rose for her physical actions that don't involve getting pinned or straight knocked out.

There is a scene backstage with Wyatt Gibson being chastised by Myst for allowing a women's match to feature partial nudity and he tells her she is a hypocrite and offers to load up some of her old promos. She storms off leading to the next match.

Match #11 - Roca Palomitas vs. Eli Brody

The crowd loved this. Roca usually works matches on the borderline and Eli has been so close to losing his cool for good, but they worked a solid match with plenty of chain wrestling and even a couple of handshakes.

"This has been surprisingly civil," Ricky Simms remarked.

"Yeah, I am disappointed too."

The match stayed inside the ring and a crowd started to form on stage of wrestlers watching the match itself. This distracted some of the crowd, but the high flying antics of both wrestlers managed to hold their attention. Eli hit a flying cross body only to have Roca roll him over with a fallaway slam. Roca took over from there, but not for long as a knee lift and clothesline turned the tides in favor of Eli. A "This is awesome" chant started in the crowd and everyone was into it, including the wrestlers on stage who were chanting along with the fans.

"I don't know that I have ever seen wrestlers chant with fans before."

"That's just because you never saw BasketKase chanting "Boring" during John Cena matches."

"So this was after he started talking in full sentences?"

"I have already said too much."

Eli and Roca went back and forth with Boston crabs and even both reversed the hold twice before giving up. Eli went for a camel clutch which Roca fought his way out of before he went for a full Nelson which Eli battled through. The match passed twenty minutes and no one complained or left to get a beer.

The good feeling this match was generating was threatened when Eddie Johnson tries to fight his way through the wrestlers on the stage. Now somehow freed from the locked room backstage, he wanted to challenge for his hardcore title back. He eventually was knocked out by Gerard Angelo who carried him backstage with help from Max Cameron.

"That's the first time I have ever seen Max carry anyone in wrestling," Lesher remarked.

"You don't remember him wrestling with Frank at all?"

"I am so telling Frank you said that. That's your funeral, Rick."

Inside the ring, neither Eli nor Roca appeared to notice Eddie Johnson's interference attempt and they carried on with a stellar match. The end finally came at the 30:38 mark of the match when Eli managed to back bridge out of a pin, roll through and then drop Roca with a brainbuster followed by a the Paradox Pain which he then hit a second time for good measure before scoring the three count victory. Wrestlers and fans alike applauded and cheered the effort. An exhausted Eli left the ring, made his way up the ramp and was patted on the back by his peers.

There was then a video montage which looked back at classic Battle of the Warriors moments all the way back to 1987 when Shannon Skanes defeated Terminator in a steel cage at the 73:03 mark to retain the World Title at the time.

Match #12 - Unbroken Silence vs. Noah Skanes

This is where the great turned into the bizarre. Noah was ready for a fight and the Unbroken Silence seemed like he didn't want to enter the ring and Shengee prodded him to get into the ring and engage in battle with the former Originals Champion. The referee started the match and then the Unbroken Silence proceeded to sit down in the corner rather than fight.

"This is bizarre behavior by the rookie," Ricky observed.

"Maybe Raven trained him? Maybe the Shmelkys trained him and he realizes that he is doomed?"

"I doubt Shengee had anything to do with his training."

"I wouldn't trust Shengee to housebreak a dog, much less train a wrestler."

Noah grabbed his opponent and tried to force a fight out of him, but when grabbed, the Unbroken Silence tapped out immediately and the referee reluctantly called for the bell. When the rookie left the ring, Shengee was berating him about his cowardice and Unbroken Silence kept his head down and then pointed upwards while he led his manager towards backstage.

"What just happened, Doc?"

"I think I like this new guy. He ended the match early. I always like that."

The lights then went out. The crowd was quiet and then, when the lights came back on, the crowd exploded as Moose, Vigilante and Dizz stood inside a CWA ring together for the first time in a very long time. They each bowed to the fans and Moose seemed genuinely moved by the experience. The lights then went back out and the legends were gone when said lights came back on again.

"That was a nice surprise," Rick said.

"That was a tease of what good wrestlers look like. Get them in there to beat the hell out of someone."

Match #13 - Slim Pickens vs. Rose Lemieux (take 2)

The rematch had a lot to live up to. The first match between the two had been solid and it was following a couple of matches which had got the crowd talking quite a bit. It was feeling like a big night and there was excitement in the air which Slim and Rose needed to capitalize on.

"Well, no one is sitting down in this match," Rick said as the bout began.

"Yeah, I wish that happened more often."

Slim controlled the early action and seemed to shy away from his spanking antics in their first go around. He was clearly taking this woman more seriously as a threat after the way the first match ended. After keeping the match under his control for the first five minutes plus, Rose started a come back and the crowd got behind her.

"The fans seem to want Rose to win this one, willing her on to new heights."

"She has no place inside that ring, Rick. She never has. This whole thing is a sham now, putting this on after good matches and a great cameo appearance by real stars."

"Just chill, Doc."

"No. I will not chill."

Rose used dropkicks, top rope dives and a few arm drags to keep Slim off balance and the match under her control. There was even a chant for her as she seemed to be nearing victory. Rose set Slim up on the top rope and went for a hurricarana from there, but he shoved her down to the mat and landed a flying knee drop to the forehead on her and then he gave her a piledriver before he managed to get the win at the 10:44 mark of the match.

"Looks like Slim Pickens and Eli Brody will fight for the title to close out the show."

"Nothing gets by you, does it Rick?"

Rose was helped up by the referee and she got a solid ovation from the crowd after a tough night, one where she almost got the victory that had eluded her for so long. In the end, she just came up short and there was no telling where this might take her career.

There was a segment then between Blair Drake and Shannon Skanes where they discussed their decades long feud and how it always seemed to come down to them in the end. They showed respect for one another, but added that there will be no civility once the bell rings tonight.

Match #14 - Kindred vs. Scavenger

The winner gets a match with Noah Skanes for the vacant Originals Title. Right from the start, Kindred shows a vicious side he has embraced, one he used to hide and suppress with mixed results. Early on, the crowd boos when Orlock makes his way down to ringside and takes his place in the corner.

"Well, so much for a good match," Rick stated flatly.

"Hey, this is what a real monster looks like. Maybe Orlock can sneak in and win the whole thing tonight and beat up Slim Pickens while he's at it."

Scavenger manages to mount a comeback and he opts not to care that Orlock is at ringside waiting to strike. He has no problem picking up the 300 pounder Kindred who has always been the one throwing others around. Scavenger manages a series of two counts, but cannot make it to three. Kindred then escapes the ring for a break which draws loud boos from the fans. Kindred spots Orlock and asks what he is doing here.

"I had assumed Orlock was here with Kindred."

"I would be surprised if he isn't since they have been a team for years. They understand each other in a silent and creepy manner."

Kindred argues with Orlock and Scavenger takes advantage of the distraction with a baseball slide which sends Kindred to the floor and then Scavenger sends him back into the ring before hitting the spear from the second rope to win it at the 11:18 mark of the match. The crowd cheers and Orlock enters the ring and places a beatdown on Kindred which leaves everyone surprised.

"I guess that ends the friendship, Doc."

"You never miss a thing, Rick."

The crowd is excited as the ring clears out and then Kelly Buchanan makes her way to the ring. She demands the attention of Vesuvius, but instead she is joined inside the ring by Team Canada who now have Rose Lemieux with them. The Glamour Girls make the save before anything can happen and Kelly actually tells the girls to leave her be before pleading with the camera for Vesuvius to return her calls.

Match #15 - Shannon Skanes & Bruce Miller vs. Blair Drake & Steve Hawkins

The crowd was pumped to see this old rivalry renewed and the surprise was that the majority of the match in the beginning was between Bruce Miller and Blair Drake. There is a less remembered feud between them that went on for six months in the mid-90s which produced some five star matches.

"These four men have all fought with one another, including with their partners. This is a testament to their ability to stay in shape and be good to go at a moment's notice."

"Did they pay you to say that, Rick?"

Drake tagged in Hawkins at the same moment as Miller tagged Shannon in. They traded moves on equal footing for almost a full five minutes. They took the match outside of the ring and into the crowd briefly before returning to the squared circle. Hawkins nearly scored the pin off an inverted DDT from the second rope. Drake then threw brass knuckles into the ring only to have the referee catch them. While the referee went after Drake, Hawkins produced a second set of brass knuckles and knocked Shannon out with them before the referee turned his attention back to the match. Bruce Miller then entered the ring and hit Hawkins with a third pair of brass knuckles, leaving both men lying in the middle of the ring.

"That was different."

"Anything that ends the match is good. Please let that end the match."

The referee finally pays attention to the match again. Seeing Hawkins down, Drake starts arguing with Miller from across the ring. Miller asks Drake if he wants to do something about it while the referee counts both Shannon and Steve down. Miller and Drake charge into the ring before the referee can reach the ten count and they start brawling. The referee considers throwing the match out while Hawkins starts to sit up. Hawkins looks over at the fallen CWA owner and goes for the pin. Bruce Miller breaks it up before the three and the referee loses control again with all four men inside the ring, Shannon still lying almost completely motionless.

"If Myst is watching backstage, seeing Shannon just laying here will remind her of their wedding night."

"That's uncalled for."

"And yet it's true."

Hawkins pulls Shannon to his feet while Miller and Drake finally exit the ring. Hawkins tags in Drake and then they deliver a double vertical suplex followed by Drake placing a dazed Shannon in a guillotine choke. Shannon doesn't tap out, so Bruce shouts that they submit from his corner. The crowd boos as Team SOB is announced as the winners at 14:31 of the match. Drake and Hawkins celebrate at ringside while medics storm the ring to check on the owner who isn't moving.

"I hope Shannon is alright."

"Looks like Noah could win the title and take over the company on the same night."

"You're a ghoul."

The show continues with Eddie Johnson showed backstage with Wyatt Gibson. Wyatt explains he cannot get involved with any matches the rest of the night or he will be suspended. Johnson smirks while promising not to get involved with any matches for the rest of the night.

Match #16 - Noah Skanes vs. Scavenger

The crowd was still subdued after the knock out Shannon Skanes had suffered and now his son was the next person into the ring. Noah seemed a little preoccupied at the beginning and Scavenger was a little hesitant to really make the match physical, even offering to put this match off if Noah really cannot go tonight. Noah said the show must go on and the match was under Scavenger's control from the outset.

"I cannot imagine Noah having to fight for the title while worrying about his father like this."

"He has to just suck it up. It is part of the business."

Scavenger did take the match outside the ring, but he held back and Noah started getting back into the match. Noah managed to throw Scavenger into the ring steps and then work over his right knee before getting back into the ring. He tried a figure four and could not get a submission and then tried a single leg Boston Crab with the same result.

"Scavenger is hurting right now. Noah wants to end it."

"Well, he has a lot of work to do as the new owner and all."

"You are terrible, really terrible."

Scavenger managed to battle back despite being reduced to one good leg. Noah then tried a chop block and Scavenger dodged that before giving Noah a bulldog that he followed up with the spear from the second rope for the win at 15:19 of the match. The crowd cheered as Scavenger was named the Originals champion for the first time in a very long while. He then celebrated with the fans at ringside.

"I am so proud of Scavenger winning the belt."

"He should retire. It's not like he is going to win anything again."

Backstage Shannon was seen being loaded onto an ambulance. He was talking and stating he was okay, but medics insist on keeping him overnight for observation. Bruce Miller went with him to the hospital as did Myst and Kathy Smith, making for a crowded ambulance.

Match #17 - Slim Pickens vs. Eli Brody

Eli comes out first and paces inside the ring while Slim takes his time coming to the ring. Eddie Johnson storms into the ring and hits Brody across the back of the head with a chair and wins back his hardcore title which he escapes through the crowd with. The fans actually boo this turn of events.

"Well, technically he did not interfere with the match. He just really wanted that belt back."

"He could have just asked Eli. It didn't look like he even wanted it. Instead, he looks to have given the man a concussion."

"You almost sounds concerned."

"I almost am."

The crowd has a mixed reaction when Slim enters the ring and demands that this match start as planned. The referee checks on Eli who says he is good to go and the bell does indeed sound to get the match underway. Eli takes a beating from Slim and Roca Palomitas actually heads down to ringside. He calls out to Eli that he can give up and there's no shame in that. Instead, Eli starts to fight back.

"I can't tell if Roca is out here to mock Eli or to try and support him with good advice."

"Both."

"It can't be both."

"It can and it is, Rick."

Eli manages to take control of the match using his mean streak and eye gouges are the great equalizer. He uses the middle rope to choke Slim and the referee threatens to call off the match if Eli doesn't start to obey the rules. The crowd starts a "Let him fight" chant which Roca tries to discourage from ringside. He continues telling Eli to let it go and fight another day.

"I still can't tell if he wants to help Eli or not."

"Then shut up about it. It's pretty simple."

Eli stops using the ropes to his advantage and Slim sees his opening, taking over the match again. Slim takes Eli to a corner and lays a beating on him which rattles Eli badly, taking head shots in the process. Roca tries throwing in the towel, but the referee refuses to take that as a genuine move on his part. Roca explains he is only looking out for Eli's well being and says they bonded during their match earlier tonight.

"He is laying it on pretty thick now and after that great match too."

"Hey, he knows he is likely number one contender to whoever wins. He is a smart man to be out here watching them like this."

"Okay, you got me there."

"Howler monkeys could own you on commentary."

The crowd cheers as Eli starts to mount another comeback. The crowd chants for him as he manages to slam Slim to the mat even as the match passes the ten minute mark. He heads for the ropes and Roca calls out to him, warning him that he could fall and hurt himself. Eli ignores this and goes for the Paradox Pain, but takes a boot to the chin from Slim instead. Slim Pickens then manages to win and take the World Title at the 12:03 mark of the last match of the night. Roca heads up the ramp shaking his head and saying he tried to warn Eli.

"There really was nothing left in Brody by the end of the match. He showed he is a real warrior tonight."

"I have to admit I did not hate him or this show. I do hate Slim, though. I want him to go away."

Slim Pickens celebrated inside the ring and even got on the microphone to invite other wrestlers to the ring, but no one showed up. He then said it didn't matter what was wrong with Eli and that all that mattered is that he's the champ. He held his title belt up as the show came to a close.
