![]() The CWA audience is restless as there is no opening theme music for tonight's show. We instead go to ringside where Wyatt Gibson is wearing a referee's shirt and doesn't look to be in a good mood. Wyatt Gibson - I have to referee a match tonight and then I get to fight for my job? I have been behind this company for a long time and for my job to be on the line already seems insane to me. This is my show and I will still be the general manager of Overdrive after this match is over. *to Kosmic Kitty* Well, get it started already. "Bootylicious" by Destiny's Child plays as Kira Yakamoto makes her way onto the stage where the crowd gives her a mixed reaction. Many are still getting to their seats as the opening has started before it was supposed to. Wyatt is seen getting into the ring while Kira makes her way down the ramp. Kosmic Kitty - And now we bring to you this match scheduled for one fall. Approaching the ring to my right, the one and only, Kira Yakamoto. *crowd cheers* And her opponent... "Survival" by Eminem starts to play as Rose Lemieux makes her way onto the stage to a decent pop from the crowd. She is once again wearing police riot gear and combat boots. She ignores fans as she storms her way past them. Ricky Simms - Well, we were not prepared for this type of opening, so let's get to a little something that happened backstage before tonight's show. Henry Lesher - We really don't have to. ![]() We cut to Eli Brody walking on his way out of the locker room and Sonya Ashton-Patel racing behind him, hoping to catch up. Sonya: Ey, Brody! Eli turns to see Sonya walk up to him, a smile on her face. Sonya: Just wanted to say, good luck out there. Eli: *surprised* Ummm...thanks? Sonya: Anytime, flower. Anyway, you'll need luck after what I'm gunna do. In fact, start prayin' for a miracle. Sonya smirks before suddenly racing off towards the gorilla position. Eli looks puzzled. Eli: I really don't get her. The door he's standing in front of suddenly opens. Voice: I thought that voice sounded familiar. Eli turns and almost has to gasp for breath as Kira Yakamoto stands before him, freshly shower after her match and wearing only a towel. Kira: Hey, Eli. I missed you. Eli: Kira, I-I-I- Kira: I'm sorry for all that I put you through? Look...I've been around this business long enough to know it takes its toll. We've all had that darkside creep into us every once in a while. You especially, but I've moved on and it looks like you have too. Good for you. I missed the old Eli, anyway. Eli: Wow...I mean, thank you. Kira, I'm so sorry and I miss you so much. You mean more to me than any woman has ever meant to me- Kira: Hold on, hold on. I said, I forgive you. I didn't say that I'll marry you. However...maybe a date after the show? Eli: Sure! I'll come pick you up after match. Kira: Well...maybe I want to cheer you on from ringside. Eli: I think you'll need to get changed first. Kira: Oh no. You're facing that Sonya? Well, this is the perfect attire for my plan. Eli shares a smile with Kira who seems back to her old cunning ways. Eli: Plan? Kira: Well, she likes me and I was thinking...maybe there might be a wardrobe malfunction. Maybe CWA's Asian beauty might display her amazin' booty. Think about it. Kira pecks Eli on the cheek before she goes skipping towards the ring. Eli grins from ear to ear before he goes following her down the hall. ![]() Ricky Simms - So Eli has to be around here somewhere. Henry Lesher - Why isn't he out here then? I have to be put through this hell for no reason when people who can actually wrestle are waiting in the back to come out here. This is why this company sucks and Wyatt is already on his way out the door. Rose steps through the ropes into the ring and the bell sounds to start the match. Kira moves in and lands a series of knife edge chops to the chest on Rose and then gives her a fireman's carry into a side slam to the mat. Kira then puts the boots to Rose while the crowd is split on who they are cheering for. Kira's overall sugary personality seems to be winning them over early in this one. Ricky Simms - This looks to be picking up where their last meeting left off. Henry Lesher - Yeah, my will to live is taking another hit. I am so glad everyone is enjoying this. Kira stands Rose up, whips her off the ropes and then gives her a dropkick to the chest that sends her back down to the mat. Kira then goes to the nearest corner and climbs to the top rope. She poses for the fans and then leaps off and goes for a shooting star press. Rose manages to roll out of the way in time and Kira hits the mat instead. Rose then uses the ropes to get to her feet. She looks to the fans and shakes her head, drawing boos from them. She then plants a boot on the back of Kira's neck and leaves it there for a full four count while Wyatt Gibson threatens to disqualify Rose. Rose then stands Kira up and whips her off the ropes and gives her a clothesline to the mat. Rose then lands a leg drop on Kira and hooks the leg for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Kira. Rose grabs Kira by the hair and throws her out of the ring to the floor. Rose then backs up, waits for Kira to stand and then sends her back to the floor with a baseball slide. Rose then slips out to the floor and she stands Kira up before trying to whip her into the steel corner post. Kira stops her forward motion and then whips Rose into the post instead before giving her a side suplex to the floor which draws cheers from the fans. Ricky Simms - This match has gone back and forth so far. Henry Lesher - I just want it to be over, Rick. I want to move on to good matches with good wrestlers. Kira stands Rose up and rolls her into the ring before rolling herself into the ring. Kira then unbuckles the belt on Rose's pants, pulls it off and starts whipping her with it, again drawing cheers from the fans. Rose manages to escape the ring after taking four strikes with the belt and she shouts at Wyatt who explains that Kira doesn't have to obey the rules here. Rose swears under her breath and pulls her hair for a moment before she steps back onto the ring apron. She then pulls herself through the ropes into the ring and Kira rears back with the belt. Rose greets her with a super kick to the chin that sends her down to the mat where Rose goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Kira. Rose slaps the mat and has a few unkind words for Wyatt about the speed of his count. Rose then stands Kira up, whips her off the ropes and goes for a clothesline only to have Kira duck it and then she gives Rose an inverted neckbreaker before she goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Rose. Ricky Simms - Well, they have both been close to victory. Henry Lesher - I really don't care. I am ready to just leave this desk and never come back. Ricky Simms - I hate it when you toy with me like this, Doc. Kira stands Rose up, whips her off the ropes and gives her a dropkick to the mat and then Kira plants a series of knees in the gut on Rose. She then smiles to the fans and proceeds to gives Rose one last knee before she unbuttons Rose's pants and starts to pull them down. She has then part way down and then she decides to pull down the panties as well which causes Wyatt to get involved. Rose struggles to pull up her pants and Kira refuses to let go of the underwear in her grasp. She is wrestled away from Rose, but she has the torn underwear of Rose still in her hand. Rose bids a hasty retreat and Wyatt calls for the bell while Kira shouts out to the fans, asking who wants the spoils of tonight's battle. Kosmic Kitty - The winner of tonight's match as a result of a submission, Kira Yakamoto! Rose is seen quickly heading for the back while Kira tosses the torn undergarment into the cheering crowd at ringside. She then blows the fans a kiss and tells the camera that she will be back out later. She heads out of the ring and towards the back while Wyatt stands in a corner and shakes his head. He doesn't have to wait long as "Deep" by Nine Inch Nails plays and the crowd cheers wildly as CWA owner Shannon Skanes makes his way down the ramp with a microphone in hand. He doesn't look impressed as he rolls himself under the bottom rope into the ring. Shannon Skanes - Wyatt, that was a disaster. You cannot keep putting Kira in a position where nudity is rewarded. Rose is fighting to make a name for herself as a wrestler. You are putting on the show you think everyone wants to see and maybe you're right with Kira, but Rose has earned better. Wyatt Gibson - *with a microphone thrown into the ring for him* Look, I am just getting this place going again after so long away. Shannon Skanes - I am just concerned with the moral compass you are using right now. Wyatt Gibson - This company needs some sex appeal, Shannon. This company needs something that the other guys don't have. Shannon Skanes - This company needs leadership. That said, "A Place For My Head" by Linkin Park plays and Myst appears to loud cheers from the crowd. She doesn't pay any attention to the fans as she makes her way down the ramp to ringside and then up onto the ring apron before she steps into the ring. She takes the microphone from Shannon and addresses Wyatt. Myst - So the company needs real leadership and that means it needs a lot less Wyatt Gibson. These fans want a real leader and that's me. Reverend Mercy - *stepping onto the stage with a microphone in hand* Are we talking about morals, boys and girls? This is why the real savior of this company is yours truly. This company needs me. This company needs real guidance. Myst - Who the hell are you and how does any of this pertain to you? Reverend Mercy - I am a man with a plan. You are a lady without a moral compass. You see, what these fans don't know is why this show has been so slanted since the return. Shannon here has kept himself off camera for the most part. He has allowed CWA veterans like the eagle and the scavenger to step into the ring while he has been working hard to keep a fire burning that will die. Myst - Can the cryptic crap. I am short on patience. Reverend Mercy - Back in the CWA heyday, Rated R had quite the role in splitting up what had been a happy family. I watched that with tremendous sadness. You se, I believe in traditional values and in family. That's why I have a stable of men who are believers in something greater, something better than this sham inside the ring. Myst - You're not getting to the point here. Reverend Mercy - You are in no position to judge Wyatt Gibson. You are engaged in a living arrangement with Kathy Smith and Shannon Skanes which renders all three of you as incapable of ruling with any sort of moral judgment. Myst - Who the hell are you to judge my life? That is none of your business. Reverend Mercy - My esteemed Myst, if you push through the dismissal of Mister Gibson, I will be forced to reveal more than simply what I have heard. This will turn from mere gossip into a full scandal. Wyatt keeps his job and you can act as an advisor. Myst - We could always just fire you. Reverend Mercy - That would be most unwise. The unloved GM stays and you leave him alone. Mercy exits while the crowd boos him and Wyatt is actually seen smirking. Myst - You knew he was coming out? Wyatt Gibson - I was backed into a corner. Legion simply needs to be understood. They are trying to save this company, save it from the likes of your twisted family. Wyatt exits the ring while Shannon and Myst talk in the middle of it. Ricky Simms - That wasn't what I expected. Henry Lesher - That wasn't what anyone expected. Did these three learn nothing from how this all turned out last time? ![]() Rose Lemieux is seen entering her locker room and she finds Kira Yakamoto is there waiting for her. Rose Lemieux - What do you want? Kira Yakamoto - I am sorry about the matches we have had, feel kind of bad for you being involved in this. Rose Lemieux - I just want to move on. Kira Yakamoto - I just want you to know I have no hard feelings. Rose Lemieux - Well, I do. You exposed my ass to the fans and tore off my underwear. Kira Yakamoto - Maybe you need to stop fighting your feminine side. How do you think I have built a fan base like I have? Just watch my actions later. Rose Lemieux - I am really tired and want to go home. Kira Yakamoto - Your loss, Rose. I hate to see you lose. She blows a kiss at Rose and leaves a baffled Lemieux in her locker room to think things over. ![]() Air raid sirens begin screaming and the arena is plunged into darkness. Red flood lights bathe the arena in crimson save for a single beam of light, focused on Frank Merritt who has just stepped out from the back. He gives his trademark flex and roar as he starts for the ring. He is clad in his ring gear as well as a black t-shirt with Charles Manson's face front and center. Ricky Simms - The Monster is coming down here with a purpose; look at how focused he is. Henry Lesher - Frank is a God among mortals around here! If he is coming out here then our show just got that much better! The One Man Army circles the ring and takes the and stops to shake hands with Ledger before climbing into the ring. Henry Lesher - A great man right there! Frank asks for a mic and gets one rather quickly before making his way to the center of the ring. The sirens wind down while the lights come back up. He looks straight into the camera and gives his trademark smirk before speaking. Frank Merritt - I came back to the C.W.A. with one goal. One dream. One intention. Not to win any belts. No, cause that's not my style. He begins to scour the ringside and finally stops and points to a man in the crowd near the entrance ramp. The camera finds the man and he doesn't stand out for any reason. A little chubby, sandy blonde shaggy hair, a Max Cameron t-shirt.... Frank motions for him to come to the ring and the fans looks both surprised and elated. A nearby security guard helps him the fan climb over the ring barrier and escorts him to the ring steps. Ricky Simms - What is Frank up to? He isn't known for his generosity. Henry Lesher - I can't wait to see what's about to happen! The fan climbs in through the ropes and raises his fists in the air, grinning like a fool, and jumps around a bit. The crowd loves it. Finally the man approaches Frank with his hand extended but the big man just stares at it. His smirk melts into a sneer of revulsion. Frank shakes his head about before bringing the mic to his lips. He towers over the man who can't be more than five-ten at the most. Frank Merritt - I see that you are a fan of Max Cameron. Am I right? The fan bristles with excitement as the mic is pointed in his direction. Fan - I love Max Cameron! I am probably his biggest fan! Frank nods knowingly, the smirk back on his lips. Frank Merritt - That's what I thought. And where is Max? The fan shrugs his shoulders and shakes his head. If you can read lips you know he tells Frank "I don't know." Frank Merritt - Why are you such a big fan of Max Cameron? Fan - He is just the greatest! Nobody compares to Max! No offense meant to you but he is awesome! His facepaint is cool. His... Frank pulls the mic away and rolls his eyes. Ricky Simms - Where is Frank going with this? Henry Lesher - I can't wait to find out! Frank Merritt - Enough jerkin Max off, buddy. Sounds like you gotta bit of a crush on him! What's your name? Frank doesn't allow the fan to speak into the mic. Frank Merritt - James Miller you say? Well James, would you like to meet Max? The fan is beside himself with excitement, nodding wildly and repeating "Yes!" over and over. Ricky Simms - Max is here?! Frank points to the entrance curtain and the opening tolling bells of "Hells Bells" ring out through the arena. James turns to watch for Max come out from the back while the heads of everyone in the crowd also turn to see the C.W.A. legend return. Ricky Simms - Wait a minuite.... Frank steps up behind James and drops him with a reverse DDT, driving the back of James's skull into the mat. Frank pops up to his feet and begins to tear the Max Cameron t-shirt off of the limp fan. He drags James to his feet before nearly driving him through the mat with a Spinebuster that Arn Anderson would give a thumbs up to. Frank grabs the mic off of the mat as he gets back to his feet. Henry Lesher - That was AWESOME! Ricky Simms - That was a fan! Not a fellow wrestler! He may have killed him! Frank leans over the unmoving James and spits in his face before speaking into the mic. Frank Merritt - Where is your hero now? Where was Max to save you?! Frank straightens up and looks directly into the camera. Frank Merritt - Max, I know you're probably watching. What I just did is your fault. I came back to face you one more time. To have one final, epic encounter with you and to be the reason you have to retire. I want to break your body and soul, Max. What I just did to James here is just the beginning. Come back, Max. Or the beatings shall continue... He drops the mic and makes his way out of the ring while EMT's cautiously enter the ring, keeping a watchful eye on Frank as if he were an angry dog. Frank makes his way up the ramp while the fans boo him. He tells the camera that he knows Max is watching and that he's responsible for all of this. As he makes his way through into the backstage area, we hear "Wild Hearted Son" by The Cult and the crowd cheers as Tough Eagle makes his way onto the stage. He looks confused by the scene inside the ring and makes his way down the ramp to help the fan out of the ring. He asks the fan if he's okay and shakes his head while the man is loaded onto a stretcher. As Eagle helps attend to the fan, a masked man steps over the guard railing behind Eagle and chop blocks him down to the floor. The crowd boos. Ricky Simms - Well, the carnage that Frank left behind allowed this member of Legion to get a sneak attack in. Henry Lesher - I am impressed at how fast they moved to make this happen. These guys are amazing. The Legion member stands Eagle up and rams his head into the steel ring steps while a referee arrives at the scene and starts yelling at the Legion member to bring the fight into the ring. He slams Eagle's face into the steel steps twice before rolling the CWA original into the ring and then he pulls himself into the ring and the bell sounds to officially start the match. The Legion member stands Eagle up, whips him off the ropes and backdrops him to the mat. Legion then knee drops Eagle to the chest and goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Tough Eagle. Legion stands Eagle up, whips him off the ropes and the veteran ducks a clothesline attempt and then gives Legion an inverted atomic drop before giving him a headbutt that sends him down to the mat. Eagle then goes to the nearest corner and climbs to the second rope. He then lands a double axe handle smash across the back of Legion before rolling him into a school boy roll up. 1...2... kick out by Legion and the fans groan. Ricky Simms - Eagle really needs to win this one tonight. Henry Lesher - Good luck against these guys. He is done. Eagle stands Legion up, whips him off the ropes and then both men clothesline each other to the mat. The referee starts counting both men down and then we see other members of Legion making their way down the ramp which draws boos from the crowd. Eagle picks Legion up and slams him to the mat and then puts the boots to him while other Legion members surround the ring. Reverend Mercy appears on stage, a smile on his face and a microphone in hand. Reverend Mercy - Eagle, my brother, I am here to offer you a truce. Retire as a man with his head held high. Embrace what we are trying to do for this company, one bereft of morals and any system of belief. Embrace us, we are here for you, my brother. Eagle responds by rolling himself out of the ring and grabbing a chair from ringside. He attacks the nearest member of the group and the referee calls for the bell. The Legion members start to pile on to Eagle and Mercy shakes his head on the stage. We then see Tough Eagle and Vesuvius charging through the crowd and leaping over the guard railing to make the save. The crowd cheers as they are joined by a sprinting Shannon Skanes who attacks the closest member of the group and shouts out to Reverend Mercy. Reverend Mercy - No, Shannon, tonight we expose your alliances and your inability to lead with any sort of objective world view. This is merely the beginning. The members of Legion do retreat and the crowd cheers as the CWA originals stand their ground. Ricky Simms - I get the feeling our owner is just walking into the reverend's trap. Henry Lesher - You're a genius, Rick. ![]() Frank Merritt is seen backstage, pacing as Ingee Shmelky enters the shot. Ingee Shmelky - Frank, can I have a moment? Frank Merritt - Yeah, that's about all I have for you. Ingee Shmelky - You attack a fan tonight in order to call out Max Cameron. Why? Frank Merritt - Max is out there somewhere, Ingee. His fans will bring him here and I can finally prove to the wrestling world what a sham this man is. Ingee Shmelky - Attacking a fan seems cowardly though. Frank Merritt - *scowling* You are sounding like a Max Cameron fan. Ingee Shmelky - No, no, I don't have any.... Frank drills Ingee with a spear into the wall. He stands over the fallen reporter for a moment before he moves on. We can hear the crowd booing as they watch the action on the big screen. ![]() "For Stevie Wonder's Eyes Only" by Bring Me the Horizon plays as Sonya Ashton-Patel makes her way onto the stage where the crowd greets her with boos. She is being booed because she is shaking her head at the fans and they know she is against the suddenly beloved Eli Brody. Sonya stops at ringside and has a few words with the timekeeper. She then steps up onto the ring apron before stepping through the ropes into the ring. "The Real Life" by Greek Fire then plays as Eli Brody makes his way onto the stage where the fans give him a solid pop. He makes his way down the ramp and slides under the bottom rope into the ring before jumping to his feet while the referee calls for the bell. Ricky Simms - Earlier tonight Kira promised to be here for Eli, but she hasn't come out yet. Henry Lesher - Just leave her out of the ring for the rest of the night. I have seen enough female skin for tonight. Eli locks up with Sonya and she ducks out of it and gives Eli a kick to the ribs and then goes for an abdominal stretch which Eli quickly powers out of and he gives Sonya a hip toss to the mat. Eli then whips Sonya off the ropes before giving her a sidewalk slam to the mat. Eli then stands Sonya up, whips her off the ropes and ducks for a backdrop. Instead, Sonya leap frogs Eli and then she rolls him into a school boy pin attempt. 1...2... kick out by Eli. Sonya then gets to her feet and she places Eli in a headlock. He isn't in that for long as he gives her a fall away slam to the mat and he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Sonya. Ricky Simms - Two counts for both in this competitive match up. Henry Lesher - Can we get Eli a real opponent? Eli stands Sonya up, whips her off the ropes and misses a clothesline as she ducks it. Sonya then gives Eli an upper cut followed by a jawbreaker. She pulls the feet out from under Eli and goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Eli. Sonya then pulls Eli to his feet, whips him into a corner buckle and then she gives him a running knee lift to the chest. Sonya then headlocks Eli and goes for a bulldog, but he blocks it and gives her a German suplex to the mat instead. Eli then goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Sonya. Eli then gets to his feet and looks to the crowd, getting a warm response. He picks Sonya up and power slams her to the mat. He then goes to the nearest corner and climbs to the top rope. He poses there and then lands a falling headbutt onto Sonya before again going for the pin. 1...2... Sonya gets a foot on the bottom rope. Ricky Simms - I thought that was going to be it. Henry Lesher - Yeah, I was holding out hope too. This is so sad. Eli stands Sonya up, whips her off the ropes and goes for a dropkick, but she grabs the rope and Eli hits the mat instead. Sonya then moves in and knees Eli in the head. She then eye gouges Eli before the referee gives her a verbal warning regarding that tactic. Sonya then stands Eli up and whips him into the corner buckle before she goes for a shoulder block. He moves out of the way and Sonya's shoulder hits the corner post instead. Eli then whips her to the opposite corner and then moves in with a charge of his own. She side steps that and he is tossed shoulder first into the corner post to even the odds. We then see Kira Yakamoto standing on top of the stage's backdrop and doing a dance. Ricky Simms - What the hell is she doing? Henry Lesher - She is doing a number on my gag reflex right now, Rick. Kira starts to strip while fans cheer and whistle for her. Inside the ring, Sonya shakes her head and shouts out to Kira instead of going after Eli. Security manages to scale the backdrop and cover Kira with a blanket before she strips down beyond PG-13 ratings. The crowd boos and Sonya turns to face a spear to the mat from Eli. He then leaps to the top rope before landing the Paradox Pain on Sonya and then he hooks the leg for the pin. 1...2...3! Eli Brody gets the win and he rolls himself out to the floor where fans want to high five him. He pays them little mind and heads up the ramp where the towel covered Kira is waiting for him. He simply shakes his head and walks by. Ricky Simms - I don't think Eli likes the way that went down. Henry Lesher - That's going to hurt Kira since she is all about going down. ![]() Wyatt Gibson enters his office to find Rose Lemieux is already there. Wyatt Gibson - What do you want? Rose Lemieux - So you are in this Legion group? Wyatt Gibson - I am doing whatever I have to do in order to save my job. Rose Lemieux - Wyatt, I am tired of being stuck as opening match fodder. On the next Overdrive, I want a chance to become the main event. Wyatt Gibson - How? Rose Lemieux - Ladder match, old fashioned CWA women's ladder match. Wyatt Gibson - What is at the top of the ladder? Rose Lemieux - Dignity. Whoever wins gets into the Battle of the Warriors tournament and never gets stuck in a strip match again. Wyatt Gibson - The matches tend to get rather naked though. Rose Lemieux - I don't know that I care anymore. I want my dignity, and if this match gets me there, then that's what I have to do. Wyatt Gibson - Ladder match, winner gets dignity and into the CWA tournament at Battle of the Warriors. I agree, Rose nods, says nothing further and exits the office. We head back to the ring. ![]() The crowd boos as Reverend Mercy leads two members of Legion onto the stage. The reverend is grinning ear to ear and talking about restoring the CWA to its former glory. He looks at the new tag belts at ringside and event touches them while his two hand-picked members step through the ropes into the ring. We then hear "For Stevie Wonder's Eyes Only" by Bring Me the Horizon plays as Sonya Asthon-Patel staggers onto the stage with Eddie Johnson joins her as they make their way to the ring. The crowd cheers them as an alternative to the faceless mob that are threatening to take over the company with gold as added leverage. Ricky Simms - The winning team here becomes the new CWA tag champs. Henry Lesher - I weep for the titles if that Sonya girl and the new guy win, so I am cheering on Legion. Ricky Simms - That doesn't surprise me. Henry Lesher - I tend to pick winners, Rick. Johnson insists on starting the match ahead of the already tired Sonya. The referee calls for the bell and the Legion member locks up with Eddie. Johnson backs Legion into the ropes, gives him an Irish whip and then gives him an arm drag to the mat where he applies an arm bar. The crowd chants "arm bar" and Johnson smiles for the fans. Legion gets to his feet and reverses the hold and Johnson then knees Legion in the gut, whips him into a neutral corner and then gives him a backdrop to the middle of the ring. Johnson then gives Legion a series of axe handle smashes to the ribs before giving him a side Russian leg sweep back down to the mat where he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Legion. Johnson stands Legion One up, whips him off the ropes and hits a spinning heel kick before he then goes for the pin again. 1...2... kick out by Legion again. Johnson then looks to his corner where Sonya is reaching out to make the tag. He shakes his head and says that she isn't ready. Ricky Simms - Eddie appears to be concerned his partner isn't ready to go here. Henry Lesher - He should have got himself a real partner like Frank Merritt or maybe one of the Shmelky Brothers. Johnson stands Legion One up and takes a punch to the gut. Legion One then knee lifts Eddie in the gut and then pulls him to his corner where he tags in Legion Two. Legion Two enters the ring and they deliver a double vertical suplex on Johnson, leaving him in the air for a few moments to increase the impact on their opponent's back. Two then applies a sleeper hold while Reverend Mercy is seen applauding and smiling at ringside. Two stays in the ring while One makes his exit. Two then looks to the reverend and nods his head before standing Johnson up and then giving him a kneebreaker. He then applies an ankle lock submission and the referee asks Johnson if he is willing to submit. Johnson refuses while the crowd starts an "Eddie Eddie Eddie" chant for the new guy on the roster. Johnson reaches out for the ropes, using the crowd's cheers to dig deep and find the strength to make his way to the ropes. He reaches out one last time, complete with a lunge and then he manages to grab the bottom rope which forces the break. Ricky Simms - The odds are stacked against Johnson and Sonya in this one. Henry Lesher - Oh, this match is all about Legion and what they can do. Johnson escapes to the floor and Two follows him out. Two grabs Johnson by the hair, turns him around and takes a knife edge chop from Eddie and then Two gives him a headbutt that sends him down to one knee. Two then gives Johnson an eye gouge before rolling him back into the ring before rolling himself in. Johnson actually continues rolling and tags in Sonya to get the fresher team member into the action. She jumps to the top rope and lands a flying dropkick to the chest on Two, sending him down to the mat. She then hits a lionsault onto Two and goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Two and the fans groan. Sonya then stands Two up, whips him into a neutral corner and then lands a handspring back elbow to the chin on the masked man. The reverend can be heard shouting at Two while Sonya hits a series of kicks to the chest on her much larger opponent. Sonya then whips Two to the opposite corner. She then charges in for a shoulder block, but Two gets a knee up which connects with her chin. He then levels her to the mat with a spear before he hooks the leg for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Sonya. Two then argues with the referee about the speed of the count. Ricky Simms - That Legion member did not appreciate the way that count went down. Henry Lesher - I don't either. She was done and this should be over. Give them the belts. Two stands Sonya up and pulls her to his corner where he tags in One. One enters the ring and tries to grab Sonya by the hair, but she goes a shoulder roll away from him and then does a second one to her corner where she tags in Eddie Johnson. He charges into the ring and he lands a spear on Legion One and then he goes for the pin. 1...2...3! Eddie Johnson and Sonya Ashton-Patel are the new CWA tag team champions! Kosmic Kitty - Your winners and NEW CWA tag team champions, Eddie Johnson and Sonya Ashton-Patel! Ricky Simms - This arena has come unglued. Henry Lesher - I am upset, too. This is a terrible decision. Wyatt needs to overturn this. The Legion members retreat while the reverend promises that this battle is far from over. He tells the camera that these two have started down a terrible road and that they will wish they made the right decision soon. ![]() While the new tag team champions celebrate, we see Scavenger pacing backstage. He stops when we see his wife Lauren emerging from her locker room. Scavenger - What the hell are you getting yourself into? Lauren Strong - Look, if I want in on this ladder match, then I can get into it. You gave me no say in your alliance with Vesuvius. Scavenger - Catherine will hear about this stuff. Lauren Strong - If this is the worst thing she ever finds out, then we are ahead of the game. Scavenger - I don't trust Rose. Her head is in a bad place. Lauren Strong - You have had your say, Jake. Just let me do what I have to for my career. We agreed we would not try to control each other. Scavenger doesn't answer he. He walks off mumbling to himself and, when Lauren turns around, she finds Tough Eagle standing there and shaking his head. Lauren Strong - You judging me too? Tough Eagle - Just be careful out there. You are my niece. I am very protective of you, just as much as your husband is. Lauren Strong - Meaning? Tough Eagle - We are at war with this damned Legion group. That could make you a target for them in order to get to your husband and me. Lauren Strong - I am a big girl. She storms off. Tough Eagle - I just don't like any of this. He heads off in the opposite direction and we head back to the ring. ![]() "Showstopper" by Toby Mac plays and Slim Pickens comes out to the loudest pop of the night.
