ROBOTS!
My musical tastes went in quite a few directions after I left ASR many moons ago.

One of the better ones, I think, was finding a love of the Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler.

Why? for me, Knopfler's playing is everything a guitar player should be - incredibly talented, usually understated, and everything he writes, sings and plays is dripping in IQ and style.

And I doubt I'm the only one.

I mean, if you play like me, you had better have your own band. Nobody wants that amount of participation from a bass player.

I love the song "Brothers in Arms".

Knopfler is an amazing guitarist.

The only thing I know about the Dire Straits is their song "Money for Nothing"

I don't really get them. People say how awesome they are and how much they rawk, so I listened to Brothers in Arms, and it was one of the most boring listening experiences I have ever endured. Not bad, not offensively awful, just plain boring. And "Money for Nothing" is an awful song.

Yes, Mark Knopfler is a great guitarist... but I'm not sure about his music. And I haven't heard enoguh to judge it.
Walk of Life has always been among the songs I hate the most... ever.
