Illmatic I must listen to actually. I'm only just starting to get into hip-hop really, I like the Beastie Boys, De la Soul, Public Enemy, Wu Tang Clang e. t. c. Eminem's pretty good as well.

illmatic is perfection and enough to excuse nas for life. "ny state of mind" remains as fucking boss as the first time i heard it.

i'm not so keen on the rest of his albums. some of stillmatic is alright, but the rest...ehhhhh.
i agree illmatic is godly. have u heard the lost tapes? u might like that as well.

Wu Tang is great. I really like their style. It's sort of like NWA but with less of the dumb gangster stuff.

Nas is absolutely terrible. His later work even ruined Illmatic for me; it's so bad. I'd rather listen to Rupurt Murdoch fall prey to sexually frustrated apes.

Donuts is basically a hip hop album that can be called beautiful.

And since when can you call a hip hop album beautiful?

Since never, of course, sillyheads.

(RIP)
what does this even mean

And Dizzee Rascal is kind of grime, which has more in common with UK Garage and jungle than hip hop, unless you include his new album.

I think Donuts is a good album; but hardly "beautiful" and there's plenty of hip hop songs I would definitely describe as such.

Roses by Kanye West (I'm white) always makes me freak out.

And Hey Mama by him is my fave rap song ever.

Gawd.
