ASR's favourite album; An idea I stole from PFO

At PFO they did this with Pink Floyd songs, so I'm thinking we can do it with albums.

Everyone make a list of your 25 favourite albums of all time (in no particular order), and post them here. I'll count up albums on a point system (each vote an album gets = 1 point) and the top 25 albums in that system will go through elimination rounds until we end up with ASR's all-time favourite album.

I'll do mine later, I need some time to consider the matter.

Also, this might be a good way to get people to listen to more music. Like, it'll be easier for people to vote if they've heard all the albums. So I'll wait a while after announcing the top 25 to allow people to hear the albums in question, if they haven't already. (I know there's bound to be lots I haven't heard)

The only way I could possibly see this working and remain interesting is if we don't count albums made by white people.

How do we define "white people"?

Michael Jackson, anyone?

Be sure and tell her...
Is Frank Zappa considered white? He was part Arabic...can he be counted as multiracial?

Frank Zappa was a god, not a person. Therefore, he is not included in the grouping of "white people" anyway.

The point is that The Beatles will win this. It's just a question as to which album. That's why this thread won't be productive.

Then we could do one that omits Beatles albums. I'm not sure everyone here would do it but it'd be interesting to see which album besides a Beatles one is the board's over-all favorite.

Then prepare for the win of Pink Floyd or Zappa.

I don't think there'll be too many Floyd votes. Zappa might be a different story.
