My iTunes renovation project

My Sweet Lord
There are a few things I'm doing with my iTunes library that relate to listening to albums as they were originally intended.

First, all albums (except Thing-Fish) which were originally on vinyl, I'm numbering the sides as disc numbers, and numbering the tracks according to sides too.

Second, and this one I may need some help with, is I'm converting all albums that were originally mono to 160kbps mono AAC files instead of lossless ones. (160kbps in mono is the same quality as 320kbps in stereo). I've done this already with Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn, but I don't know which other Beatles albums were originally mono - I'm assuming everything before Pepper, is this correct? Also, were any early Mothers albums mono, maybe Pet Sounds, anything like that?

Third, and this only applies to Pepper, when I get back to Australia I'm going to see what the originally intended track order for side 1 is in the CD booklet, and rearrange the tracks to be as they were originally intended.

That is all. Good day to you, fellow applesaucers.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Except Thing-Fish. Rearrange whatever you'd like with that pile of shit.

Do what you'd like, but I have a suggestion. Leave a comment of "Side A" or something on the tracks. You'll still see what the sides are, but it wouldn't screw around with everything.

The mono thing is pretty useless. They aren't the ORIGINAL (I see you are very interested in original everything) MONO MIXES. They would be fold-downs of the stereo mix. Pepper, especially, is sought after in mono because the band spent their time with that mix, and there are several differences between the two.

Get a bootleg of Pepper in mono, and then get that new special edition of Piper that has the album in mono as the first disc.

The White Album was released in mono and stereo in the UK, but only in stereo in the US.

Also, Steven, the "original" order is on Wiki for Pepper..but there's no point in changing it. They could have when they made it on CD but they decided not to, why? Because it'd be stupid to fuck with Pepper. They decided to release it that way for a reason.
someday monkey won't play piano song, play piano song

Hey Steve, the original Sgt. Pepper had a locked groove at the end of it. How do you suppose you can listen to the album the way it was intended to be?

I could make a loop track, and put it on repeat as soon as it starts playing.

That's what I was thinking, but you're not going to do that.

I hope.

I heard Michaelangelo's David originally had his penis on his right ear. You should work on that one next, Steve.
