Apart from Naked City and Ritual, 1990 did suck balls. Oh and Godweesatan.

I used to like Ritual a helluva lot more than I do now. ;_; Still good though.

Step in the Arena? Fear of a Black Planet? In a Priest Driven Ambulance? Heaven or Las Vegas? Repeater? Frizzle Fry? Bossanova? Goo? Need I embarrass you further?

1990 did suck.

The point is you shouldn't get your music according to what people think is "good", but instead get something you find yourself that you actually like. God knows we don't need another kid running around listening to nothing but Back in Black and Stairway to Heaven.

What the fuck are you talking about?

Really good albums released in 1990:

Bad Religion - Against the Grain
Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds - The Good Son
Cocteau Twins - Heaven or Las Vegas
The LA's - The LA's
Pixies - Bossanova
Public Enemy - Fear of a Blank Planet
The Replacements - All Shook Down
Ride - Nowhere
Neil Young - Ragged Glory

As I think about it right now, 1990 wasn't that bad, just average.

I got into a lot of the stuff I listen to on my own. Like for Gram Parsons, I saw something about him and said "interesting, I'd like to hear him something by him" and I wasn't too sure but in the end I loved it and I still do. There's other things that I did on my own without someone telling me. Oasis for instance. Y'know?

Yeah, but what does it have in common with me and the suckiness of 1990?

I didn't say anything about 1990.

Once again: What the hell does it have to do with me? I still don't get it. Oh well, nevermind.

I thought you were telling me 1990 sucks, and I was telling you that you (again) missed the point I was making.

Misunderstanding. "1990 did suck" was a reaction to Crudblud's post.

Fair enough.

How? It's generally accepted that old ("classic") rock is called classic rock. "Rock" is too broad, and is usually used with modern rock.
