Hate me, do it and do it again.
My dad's got Cosmo's Factory on vinyl from when it was first pressed, one of the first full albums I ever heard, and it's still excellent.

Agreed. Not a single bad song on it + the 11 minute orgy of Grapevine.

In 1965, it's true.

But the quality of said three albums seems to be considerably less than that of CCR. CCR are thus victorious when faced to make three albums in one year, an area which the Stones fail.

Stones are trash, guy. :tongueaction:

Man, for being a mainly classic rock forum, you guys don't venture out much in classic rock.

I'm trying. I was talking to a friend today, and he mentioned that last night he started downloading a best of CCR album. Perfect timing.

Well, I listened to Bayou Country a few hours ago and I am quite impressed. Wikipedia was not lying when they dubbed this "swamp rock". It sounds like you're in a fucking swamp! Fogerty #1's* voice goes absolutely perfect with the music - the marriage between those two really is something to be heard. I look forward to listening to more albums from these guys. :)

*I am told that there are indeed TWO Fogerty's, but I have dubbed the second one irrelevant to nature and all living things.
