Three of the four living Floyds allegedly have new albums on the way.

That is all.

Does anyone have any credible information on when Roger Waters will actually release a new album? They've been saying he's working on a new album since I got into Pink Floyd, and I just really doubt it now. It's about time he actually does make something, though. Amused to Death was released over ten years ago, and that was such a great album.

He said in a recent interview that he had some new material to record after his DSOTM tour.

Nobody has mentioned The Good, The Bad & The Queen? Such a shame. That album is great, don't let the critics tell you otherwise. Much better than both Gorillaz albums. Damon Albarn is still cool.

The new releases by Arcade Fire and Modest Mouse are very good too.

Disagree. It is a good album, though.

Bump because Pig Destroyer's new album completely destroys anything else in this thread.

I'm looking forward to Memory Almost Full and Iron Butterfly's new album. There were rumours of a Kinks reunion for a new album, and I'm looking forward to that as well.

Arctic Monkeys and Arcade Fire are kings of the year so far, for me. 10/10 albums. Also some other fun ones out there I'm enjoying.

High School Musical 2 soundtrack this August, wooooot.

The two best albums thus far have been the Fall of Troy's Manipulator and Pig Destroyer's orgasmic Phantom Limb.

I hope those rumours are true. If that still doesn't happen this year I think I'll be happy with Ray's newest album if it gets released this year.

now, i am a huge Huge HUGE fan of '60s garage rock. i am basically obsessed with it. when it comes to modern garage rock, though, i mostly hate it. most bands today sound like crappy imitations to me. that being said, i worship this album.

Rush still have my vote for favorite album of the year thus far. I can only see it being topped by Radiohead.

You should buy the deluxe edition off of rushbackstage.com since it's going to be super rare and awesome, but I'll give you a link anyway.
