Didja Get Any Onya?
Who cares? Some kid in America killed some other kids, people get killed all the time, it's not like it's a shock any more.

People have said that the VT shooting was the worst on a college campus, but I have to disagree. Sure, it killed the most people, but I still say the worst one was at Kent State.

Ahhh! I forgot I had read about it in my history book. All I remember was seeing the picture, but now I know what you're talking about.

Nah, that's not really it. I mean, that could be partially it, but I think it's more because it happened in a white Christian country that it really took off and was so huge.

I never understood why Hurricane Katrina was more important, even to our other ally countries, than those mudslides in India were to the world.

Is it really? To me, that seems quite an anthropocentric perspective. We have seen by example that humans are causing the planet excessive damage, so to place such a high value on human life is completely irrational if one values the continued existence of life on earth. I'm not saying it was right, but people do seem to place an unnecessarily high value on individual lives.
