Not only is this the biggest SCHOOL shooting in the history of our country, but:

Wikipedia

With current death toll reports at 33[21], the massacre is the single deadliest civilian shooting in United States history, surpassing the Luby's massacre of 1991, in which 24 were killed.[21]

Did Bush go to the VT or did he talk from the White House>?

The White House, but I'm sure he will be making a visit. If someone really wants to go crazy on a college campus it's hard to stop because the campuses are so open.
My friends call me Keith, but you can call me John.

I was a rust repairer.
I was a rust repairer and full-time survivor.
I survived all the major earthquakes, and the Titanic, and several air crashes.

Out here in the fields
I fight for my meals.

That's fine. I know them all pretty well.
But I know sometimes I must get out in the light.
Better leave her behind with the kids, they're alright.
The kids are alright.

I believe it was from the White House, the video is on CNN.com if you'd like to watch it. I may not be his biggest fan, but as our leader, I still have an interest in what he has to say.

A lot of people from Virginia Tech are talking on the somethingawful.com boards, apparently not all of the wounds are from gunshots. Many students panicked when the shooting started in their buildings and jumped out of windows. A lot of the injuries are broken ankles.

There's also a chance that there were two separate shooters. One has been arrested, along with one 'suspect.' Apparently, some lunatic shot his girlfriend, and a few other people. Another person saw the opportunity to start shooting. I don't know which one killed himself or which one was arrested. This is all hearsay, I can't confirm any of it.

I mean, if you play like me, you had better have your own band. Nobody wants that amount of participation from a bass player.

Well immediately when I heard about the gap of time between the shootings, I thought multiple gunmen. However, an FBI agent said it was likely he postponed the second attack, waiting to go to the engineering building at a time his girl friend (or whoever it was the person knew) had a class there.

Classes there didn't start until 8. If I were the shooter, I would perhaps go back to my house to restock and go in maybe around 8:30, when classes are settling in.

That's a hypthotecal situation.

Okay, what the hell. There is no way we, as Americans, could prevent every single instance of some lunatic with a gun and a vendetta. And getting rid of guns is NOT a good idea. That would just prevent law-abiding citizens from using guns, and make them all the easier to steal from, rape, kill etc. by criminals.

I disagree partially, but whatever.

Gun laws shoudl DEFINATELY be stricter. (In Virginia, you justt need tohave a driver's license to own one.) But all of them banned? Probably not.

But let's not debate in the midst of a tragedy. My friend went up there today and jumped out of a window to escape gunfire. Broekn bones, but still alive, thank God. My heart goes out to all the victims and their families.

It seems a lot worse when it strikes closer to home, eh? :meh:

Agreed. Automatic weapons should be illegal for everyone. What's the use? Hunting? That's hardly necessary. You should need a permit for ANY kind of gun, and ANY form of criminal record means no guns, ever.

And Thaddeus, of course it does. Someone in our country (Not too far from me) went on a rampage, killed 33 people and wounded many more. I apologize if we seem distressed, sir.

Unless you're describing a different situation, I don't see what you're talking about. I probably live closer to Blacksburg than you do. :cigar: I was just saying it hurts a lot more when somebody you know was there.
