Fuck the poeleece!
He's claimed authority over all music? The worst I've seen him do is "Pink Floyd is the best band ever", and everyone does that.

Only not always about Pink Floyd, because they probably have a brain lawlawl

I haven't heard enough of The Who to comment, but I do think the thread creator should refrain from mentioning their preference in the topic title. Starting the title with "Who is better", honestly. :cigar:

And I agree with Clint. Floyd pretty much owns every other band ever. Oh, and I better mention that that's in my opinion, before Eric starts on another rant.

Floyd's one of 4 bands you listen to. :cigar:

Nope. I can think of at least six off the top of my head (including Floyd). So there.

Wow! Congrats you need two hands to count the bands you listen to now. :cigar:

Ha, he once calimed The Divison Bell was the best album from the 90's when he hadn't heard any others except some Floyd solo-albums. :cigar:

Boring? Have you listened to the musicianship on them? You are a Who hater.

I know that. That's why I must sexify my ears with Can.

If the Flaming Lips think its good enough to copy, its good enough for me to hear. I too must sexify my ears with Can.

Boring? Have you listened to the musicianship on them? You are a Who hater.

There's nothing inspiring about "My Wife" John sings like a drunk, so you can't understand a word he's saying. Keith, also presumably drunk, can't stick to one goddamn beat during the whole song. John only sings about weapons and sleeping in places that aren't his bed. I think it's just dumb and uninspiring.
"Getting In Tune" and "The Song is Over" do have great musicianship, but that doesn't mean they're not boring. The former is just a sappy pile of muck with annoying backing vocals, while the latter is a stupid boring 6 minute pile of crap. "The song is over, I'm left with only tears..." ok, what? "I'm getting in tune to the straight and narrow," yer, you stick to that. I usually take the prevoius three songs to go do something useful, such as go get a snack, or write a novel. The instrumentation is good, it's just not inspiring at all.
"Going Mobile" is half and half. I have to be in the mood for this. The keyboard at the end is good, but the vocals are just terrible. They're so weak and unmasculine. I can feel my testicles cowering and shrinking when I listen to this song. It's just hard to listen to. The rest of the song is fine (not as good as the rest of the album, but still better than the preceding three) but they should have let Roger sing it.

You're going to bombard the ass out of me for that, but I really don't care. You and I clearly have different tastes. You could say the same thing about Led Zeppelin songs, but I like how Zeppelin does their music more.

Ha, I think it's a very clever and unqique song, quite humourous. John is an underrated vocalist. And if you think Keith is off-beat, you're CRAZY. Seriously. If he was, Pete and John wouldn't be able to keep in time, which they do. You know nothing about drumming.

Ha, I think those are awesome. The use of piano/synth/guitar really makes those numbers really balad-like at parts and rockin' at others. Love the lyrics in both. (The former, an ode to songwriting and the power of music in general, and the latter, a song of regret.)

I have to disagree, Pete's vocals are marvelous. Especially his "Beep Beeps!", ha, I love it.

Well, for one Keith doesn't hold the beat for the Who. If you knew much about them, you'd know that either John on bass or Pete on rhythm guitar held the beat. That allowed Keith to go crazy with fills and such. You don't really understand musical theory or how the Who ticked at all.

Led Zeppelin. Mostly because of Bonham.
