When I say "better", I mean "I like them more." Bad wording on my part.

That's what I did when I voted, too.

Another thing I like better about Zeppelin is Page's ability to solo like a mo-fo (lolrhyme). Page could take any uninteresting Zeppelin song and make it into something worth listening to by adding a crazy solo.

I never liked that song, but again, the solo is fantasmal. Actually, I had "Rock and Roll" in mind. The solo is great, but the song is uninteresting.

If we could just join hands..
Page is FAR superior to Townshend. FAR. But Ol' Pete is a great guitarist anyway. Jimmy's just better. As for Drummers, I pick Bonzo, Bassists? I can't. Roger has FARFARFAR better vocals than Robert on MOST songs.

So I went with Zep.
Mild apprehension.

That's not hard considering the latter half of Zeppelin's discography Plant's voice was shat.

The results of this poll are disheartening.

Anywho, I voted for The Who.

I'd put Ten Years After above Zeppelin, any time of the day. Specially at 4 o' clock.

I think Zeppelin's better too.

Who's Better? That's a tougher question than who I like more, because they each had a profound influence on music. The Who were the first band to pull off the Rock Opera thing (although there was one Rock-Opera out before it, but it didn't sell well) and Pete Ham Townshend is a guitar virtuoso. At the same time, Zeppelin was one of the first bands to pull off long, jam session-ish songs (Zappa did this as well, but that's a different debate). They made it OK to be loud and raucous, something the Who didn't start until a year after I came out. Page and Bonham are considered the best (or one of the best) at playing their respective instruments, and Jones is an excellent multi-instrumentalist that can only be compared with Brian Jones.

I think I'll go listen to IV because I think it's way better than Who's Next.

Led Zeppelin isn't even CLOSE to being the first to pulling off long jam songs.

And you're clueless... when were The Who not loud and raucous? Please do tell.

That's fine. I know them all pretty well.
But I know sometimes I must get out in the light.
Better leave her behind with the kids, they're alright.
The kids are alright.

Uh, before Led Zeppelin I came out? The only song they did that was anything like Zeppelin in the early days was "A Quick One While He's Away"

You should know, they're the only band you listen to.
