Ok, it's not as loud, but (to me) it's just too overpowering. It just takes away from a few of the songs. You can't focus.

Aside from the four I listed, I think all the rest of the songs are fantastic. But those four just put me off.

So you have the complete inability to relax and listen to everything going on? Well at least you're focusing on Moon I guess.

It shouldn't be your business how I listen to him. I don't gripe about you being able to stand him, so knock it off.

I didn't tell you how to listen to them. Pay attention to the fact I said I'm glad you're mostly listening to Moon. High schoolers/middle schoolers :suicide:

That's fine. I know them all pretty well.
But I know sometimes I must get out in the light.
Better leave her behind with the kids, they're alright.

i knew this board was more who biased than zeppelin, but i didn't think the results would be quite this one-sided.

it kind of hurts me to read through this thread, i love my zeppy. don't tell me there hasn't ever been a time where you just had to let the led out. they rule. jimmy and pete are probably my two favorite guitarists(hendrix might be over pete), but jimmy's playing is just too good for townshend's still awesome, but slightly more basic playing. the who obviously have a better rythm section, but that's just because they arguably have the two best individual players at both drums and bass of all time. zeppelin's rythym section is NO slump. bonham's playing reminds me of a controlled keith. jones is an awesome bassist, along with all his other overall musicianship stuff. plant's vocals i think sound cooler than roger's. (i always seem to love the singers who sound like they just got kicked in the balls). when comparing the two bands by every little aspect, all the little aspects are close. but when they all add up, zeppelin just wins in so much more aspects that it's a definite choice for me.

i know i know, it's really weird that i just called them "my zeppy" and i should probaby just take it off right now, but im going to take a chance. you only live once you know

edit: i have never been bothered by keith's playing just because it's too good. most of the time his little fills give a nice build up to like a loud part in a song or something. it just gets you going.

Dude, I love Bonham... and Zep for that matter. Bonham's born on my bday. That aside, Bonham was influenced greatly by Moon. They're both amazing rock drummers. I love them both.

Now 100% more avant-garde than Ivan!
Jaki Liebezeit wasn't influenced by Moon and he kicks Moon's ass so far in that when Moon had to get new jeans, they wouldn't fit because he was a huge fucking drunk.

When it comes down to it, The Who are a lot more creative, PLUS they've got the virtuosity to back it up. While I'm not denying that Led Zeppelin were certainly creative, I've heard nothing from them that reaches the level of creativity seen in Tommy, Quadrophenia, or most other Who albums for that matter. I can easily get tired of the same ol' rock'n'roll guitar feel that I get from every Led Zeppelin album.

For once, I completely agree with you.
