Apparently they did it because of the tension at MSNBC for what he said, a lot of other people who worked there told the president of the place to fire him, I believe at first he was just going to have something minimal done to him.

Until the pressure of political correctness upped the ante.

Really, that pisses me off. There's much more offensive things about MSNBC than some guy calling women a bad name.

Seriously, what he said was dumb, but there's no need to yank him off the air.

Exactly.

People say stupid things, but it's mighty convenient for those who choose to pull out the sexist, racist card. Yes, he might have been out of line, would I agree from him to get fired. I don't think so, but leave it to the media to getting everyone against someone who fucks up.

Hahaha. You know what this means? Don Imus is the new Nigger Guy.

I like to put the 'h' on the emphasize the "yaah!"

I don't see how calling girls nappy headed hoes is rascist. Sexist? Possibly. Offensive? Oh yeah. But that's like saying one person is a "Freckled Pasty Kid" and thinking it's directed at the whole of the white community. No, it's not. this guy is a comedy radio show host, he's supposed to make jokes like these. If you actually listened to it in context, you'd realize he was only saying they were strong and buffed out, nothing more.
And how does Al Sharpton, of all people, have the right to call other people rascist? That has to be the most hypocritical thing I've ever heard.

You know that was on the local news. Apparently some guy got someone else's mail that said that.

I think these people are taking this too far. People say far worse in rap music that's played on the radio every day. But he has gotten in trouble before for stating that "Serena and Venus Williams shouldn't be in Sports Illustrated, they should be in National Geographic". So I guess the nappy headed ho comment was just the straw that broke the camel's back.

I thought the Rutgers comment was the first time he did something like that. Has he said anything else besides the Williams and Rutgers comments?

This is an important bulletin, next Sunday April 22,2007 please do not watch any viacom networks or listen to viacom radio programs, movies, or other forms of media, as well as GE media forms. This is in support of Don Imus, if enough people boycott (protest) there will be no choice but to bring him back on the air. Don Imus didn't do anything that BET and ©rappers haven't. It is hypocrytical and needs to be corrected. This calls for an imediate full boycott, of all MTVs, BETs, and other networks that support RAP. Please help as Bill O'Rielly, Glenn Beck, me and other IMUS supporters fight to get him on the air, and or the racist rap music stopped. Not only boycott TV and Radio but there other forms of income as well. That is the only way to hurt them is in the pocket...
