I've listened to that album about 19,000 times. Our whole family listened to it religiously for about a year in the early 2000's I think.

I give it a straight up 10. For the memories, but also for the amazing music. The opener is my favourite but really, theres nothing to dislike about any of these songs.

Nice. That's badass.

I too give this album a 10/10. This is the music from my home country and I love every bit of it (it's in my blood). It's a really soothing album, I think, and one that I can find myself listening to from time to time.

I saw the video that accompanies the album and you really get to learn about all the great musicians who were involved in this project and you get to appreciate it more. It's really one of the greatest Latin albums ever.

Este album es muy bueno! For real though, I was surprised. The culture and emotion that flows through these tradtional and original songs is something really quite extraordinary. And since I take Spanish, most of the words I could figure out myself. One of the best "world music" albums I've heard. 9/10

Well, this is actually the first time I've heard something like that (outside from movie soundtracks or games that have that kind of music) and it was quite nice. Enjoyable and legendary from what I've read.

9/10

Would anyone mind if I go next for the Album Club? I got skipped a while back, tried to get back on and got no answer.

My album pick has been uploaded onto the last.fm thread, came down between Finch's Glory Of The Inner Force (a Netherlands 70's instrumental prog group) and Ulver's Kveldssanger (neofolk at it's finest). I figured this group would prefer Finch, so I'll probably up Kveldssanger next time around. Hope you enjoy Finch as much as I do.
