I've listened to this album a few times already, since I have it on CD, but I think it's not one of their strong progressive-era albums. I suppose the reason you didn't post The Lamb was because it's a double album and people wouldn't take the time, but that's a much more strong and interesting album than Foxtrot. It has it's moment, "Supper's Ready" remains one of the new epics I can sit through each time I hear it. I suppose if we're going by this rating scale, I'd give the album a 6.5/10, it's not one of Genesis' stronger points.

Yeah I find Lamb to be "better" as well, but it's a little too much to ask of people to listen to in one punch.

That's fine. I know them all pretty well.
But I know sometimes I must get out in the light.
Better leave her behind with the kids, they're alright.

should i upload it today? i was thinking maybe wait one more day since it doesn't really seem to me like there has been a ton of reviews for the last one.

but i was thinking maybe something from my current "favorite" band, the white stripes

edit: hey, i just thought of something we could maybe do on the front page. well carpenter was saying we should have an average rating for each album, we should just put like the page number where each album's reviews start or something, so if someone wanted to see what people had to say about that album they could just skip right to that page. or something like that. :nerd:

Yeah, it probably wouldn't hurt to wait a day. The White Stripes would be good, because the only song I've heard is Seven Nation Army.

Why don't you just review the albums, even if you've heard them? You have quite the music taste, so it's hardly possible to upload stuff you've not heard, haha.

I mean, if you play like me, you had better have your own band. Nobody wants that amount of participation from a bass player.

I feel it would defeat the purpose of this thread.

And there is a TON of stuff I haven't heard.
