or being burned alive. jesus, it is not even close to being a "proven fact."

That post was quite ironic, in the sense that the pain Jesus felt in the last moments of his life are probably comparable to labour pains. I wouldn't know, I've never felt either, and being a male hope never to feel either.

Just thought I'd make a comment:

On quite a lot of girls' MySpace profiles I've seen, they tend to use language like "OMG, how are you, you slut?" and the like. Using words like "cunt", "slut", "fuck" and "whore" like they're just regular parts of their vocabulary. I dunno about all you, but I find that very unattractive and demeaning for them. I don't think I know any girls(.) that are show the slightest bit of decency and sexual maturity. These are also the girls that smoke and drink and think that's how they get male attention.
I'm trying not to generalise; there are a few girls, mainly on this forum, that show this maturity.

I agree with you. But I think that's just how girls have been raised by our culture (MTV, celebs, Furgalicious (sp?)) and that's also how guys are trained to respond to those kind of things.

I'll comment:

There was this girl that I used to know. She used to work with me. She seemed like she was a bit feminist. Here's why. I'm not going to lie or sugar coat it, she had gigantic knockers, noticeable. There was no way around it. You couldn't not notice it. The other girls that worked there, noticed. And the way we were, we all joked about things like that. We used to tease our driver, Pete, about being fat and we (including him) would laugh. It was all in good fun. And one day, we teased her about her boobs, just to test the waters, kind of. It was a girl as a matter of fact who made the crack, and I don't even remember what the joke was. But the girl, she flipped out. She started screaming and crying, telling all of us to "Get the fuck outta here!". She made us all go home. She was so mad. We came to find out later that she carries both a knife and pepper spray on her. She refused to close the store at night. She refused to take the trash out, even during the day time. She just couldn't handle jokes about women, or anything like that.

It was annoying to say the least. I don't understand why she was so fired up. I don't understand what got her so mad. But, the thing that I've noticed, is that most women don't feel like that. Most women are still in the old '50s role or raising babies, cooking, and cleaning. Most women I know anyway. My mother did that for almost twenty years before recently getting a job. And all of the mothers that I know to this day do that. Their interests include decorating the house, watching TV (the Food Network and various other home and gardening channels), and shopping. And no one is forcing these things upon them. These are the things that truly make them happy. They shop for fabrics, jewelry, clothes, and foods with their husbands' credit cards.

And I bring up the point, once again, that no one is making them feel this way. This is what makes them happy. We haven't come that far. Women can't be drafted in the war, and they don't want to. They want to be treated equally, except where they feel they're "too weak" or that a job is "a man's job". That's an old attitude that's a feminist's worst nightmare. And I'm not saying that there aren't the few that do step up to the "man's job". I know that, and I admire them. I'm really grateful for the women that are over there fighting for everybody's (men, women, and children alike) rights and freedoms. I truly am grateful for that. And I feel that they are the ones brining the change. Because it's up to them to do so, society isn't doing it's part.

It's acceptable in society for a man to work and the woman to stay home. I've heard of men who do that. I say that I've heard of them because A.) It's rare, and B.) I hear about them in a "What a jerk, huh? That guy ain't worth spit. He's supposed to be supportin' her". And the women agree on this.

When I first got with my girlfriend, I was unemployed. She would buy me things. When we went to the movies, she'd pay. Or when we went out to eat, she'd pay. And I got teased, ridiculed, and sometimes, verbally assaulted and attacked about it. Her parents hated me. Now, of course, I have a job and I'm the one who pays, though she still makes more money than I do. But I don't mind.

But what bothers me, is that people still have the attitude, people still think in the mind set, that women are somehow less capable or earning money. It is true that women still make less then men for doing the same job, but it's certainly not true, that women are less capable of making a name for themselves, respectfully, in the business world. I'm not a feminist, because I think that women should step up to the plate, and that society should step up to the plate, and accept women as equals. Make acceptable, no, not acceptable, the norm for either gender to stay at home and live off of the other. Or make it the norm for both people to work. We've got to lose a bunch of this, "men fight the wars, make the money, make the laws, and provide and women cook, clean, shop, raise and have babies" shit that's still hanging around from the '50s. We've got to expect the same out of everyone.

And people say it's because of things like, women being degraded on TV and in the movies. Well I've just got to say, women are doing it! Women are choosing to star in porn, women are dancing around in bikinis on beer commercials, women are the ones starring in these sexy scenes for guys on TV. If these women cared more about women's rights, or feminism, or whatever it is, over money, then a huge part of the problem would be fixed.

It's up to the women, society isn't going to do it.

You and I are on the same page. When im talking about feminism, i dont just mean womens rights. I also mean mens rights and equal punishment for women. I cant stand the fact that when is comes to the judicial side of society we can get away with damn near anything. I know a women, if a man had done the SAME things she did, he would be in jail so fast his great grand children could hear the bars slam, but since she is a women nothing is being done. I hate that women 'flirt' their way out of problems. Alls they are really doing is giving women a bad name and reputation. Women that pose for porn mags, they are objectifying themselves. Women get so flabergasted when men say certain things, but the fact is we, as a whole, bring this shit on ourselves. We wonder why men say rude things to us on the street and pinch our asses. Its what we wear and how we act. We have conformed ourselves to be like hookers and strippers. WE have to act with fake lust, and wear skimpy clothes, otherwise we arent 'sexy' or attractive. Its an insult. I dont even dress like that but i still get harassed on the street. I dont know if these guys are thinking they are flatering me, but really they just piss me off and creep me out.

And the girl was probably molested or raped. the things you described tend to be signs of that.

Be sure and tell her...
I just want to say that I hate it when people make fun of things that people can't change. I've been made fun of for my breasts. I can't help it. I can't afford a breast reduction, and I would only get one if I truly needed it. I don't need it. So yeah, don't make fun of girls with big breasts. It makes us feel bad and then we go hide in our houses and under big t-shirts afraid to show our bodies for a year.

I don't want to come off as a pervert, but though we make fun of women with big breasts, that doesn't mean that we don't like them. Perhaps these guys act like they're making fun of them, when in actually they're just doing that because that's more socially acceptable than staring and admiring and complementing them.

I mean, which is more acceptable?

"Hey, you could feed the whole litter with those babies!"
-OR-
"Hey, I just wanted to let you know, I really like your big boobs, a lot. They're so big and perfect."

I mean, come on.
