I'm also enraged at the fact that there is no Ayn Rand in this poll!

Ayn Rand? The one who wrote 'Anthem'?

Well, I was wrong on Anaxagoras, the first hardcore agnostic was Protagoras, κύδος to him. In this light, I'm considering my vote changed to Herakleitos.

First of all, because he stated everything is in a constant state of change. He also said: "No man can cross the same river twice", and that's cool, because it reminds me of the tagline of a television series which said: "You can never go back to the town of your childhood. Even if the town is still there, the child is gone", which always brings a tear to my eye - one day I'll realise its truth.

But my vote mostly went to him because in 'The School of Athens' (the famous painting by Raphael), Herakleitos is painted as Michelangelo, in the style of Michelangelo, out of admiration/jealousy. I just think it's funny Raphael worked on a painting for over a year, then sneaks into the Sistine Chapel and goes: "Snap, I'll have to do better than what I've been doing!", so you get one figure in more detail than the rest of the painting.
