the real reason why im starting this topic is because the music exchange topic got closed, and i wanted to ask anyone who has any beck albums besides "the information" if they would be so kind to pm me

but anyway, i guess this would also be a good place to talk about all things beck.
anyone for tennis?

I love his music. "Loser" is a brilliant song, and Odelay is a brilliant album. I have a couple of his albums, both excellent. Creative is the key word here.

Ew. Odelay. There's a major disappointment for me. I love The Information, and I need to get Mellow Gold soon time.

I have Odelay and Sea Change. Completely different albums, but both are insanely awesome. I have "Loser" but I need Mellow Gold.

Nah, Sea Change is awesome. I ddin't think it would work but Beck tackles folk music with the same creativity he had before.

i love mr. hanson. i have one foot in the grave, mellow gold, odelay, mutations, midnite vultures, sea change, and guero. mutations is probably my favorite beck album. i've seen him live twice, once from the third row and once from the first. the dude has some of the awesomest moves i've ever seen. but he is a scientologist, which i think is really crazy.

Agree. It's his worst album. (IMHO) :cigar:

ya, i cant imagine how anyone can really believe that crap is true. if i understand it right, we were brought here by aliens? wtf? i think people who say they are scientologists are just looking for attention, looking for another way to be different.

im probably going to get a bunch of crap for this, because i will admit im not very educated on it, but seriously, aliens? it sounds like a religion made up by a bunch of 6 year olds, and grown adults are actually "believing" it

i agree. it just seems retarded to me. i mean, i even think christianity sounds crazy, but i can at least understand that someone would believe in it because it has been around so long. but scientology was made up recently by a science fiction writer. it's bizarre. in beck's defense, his mom raised him as a scientologist, so he's been brainwashed from an early age.

exactly my thoughts. it is retarded. i was just too afraid to say it. that is pretty sad that he was brought up like that, and that's the way he has always known it to be and everything

edit: sorry to anyone here that considers themselves a scientologist

Did so. Listened to a bunch of album and really enjoy his music, especially Guero and Sea Change. I cannot make myself like Odelay! though, and I don't know why. But "Girl" is such a great feel-good song.
