Peart dominates both of them in the game of life.

Jimmy Page completely rapes Pete Townshend when it comes to guitar.

I disagree. While Jimmy Page is, well, complete sex, I like The Who for the fact that Pete Townshend never overused his guitar powers. It's not the main part of the band, like Pete said, "John played lead guitar and I would be on rhythm". And I like that.

But Jimmy Page is number two. :fear:

Yeah sure, he never 'overused' his guitar powers, right.

If he could play like Jimmy, he would've.

Keith John Moon (August 23, 1946 – September 7, 1978)
John Henry "Bonzo" Bonham (May 31, 1948 – September 25, 1980)

Neil Ellwood Peart (born September 12, 1952 in Hagersville, Ontario)

He's right, you know...

Since you came up with the idea of not bashing someone elses favorite bands for no reason I guess.

Besides, I used to love The Who. ASR made me hate them =P

Anyway, the Who are cool. I find them a little overrated on this board, but they're cool. Definitely in my top ten.

You have expressed my opinion exactly. Bravo, sir.

Same with you and Oasis. :cigar:

But that only lasted about 5 months because now I have sex with Definitely Maybe.

No it's completely different. I went from being totally obsessed with their music to just liking them a lot. I didn't go from liking them to deleting one of their best albums off of my computer.

I deleted Definitely Maybe off iTunes a while back. Added it again when I got it for Christmas.

considering that barely anyone here likes a few of my favorite bands, like wolfmother or the white stripes, and only about half the people like led zeppelin, the other half think they are sloppy ripoffs, i am never turned off of a band by them being too popular here. maybe it happened with pink floyd a little, but i've never really been that into them. i am usually extremely happy when one of my favorite bands is popular on the site. this is the case with the who, except i've kind of found that most people on here are more into their post-"who's next" stuff, while i prefer the tommy and earlier era.

I think that way more than half of the members like Zeppelin............
I agree too i prefer the early stages of The Who the most.....

Entwhistle is indeed the superior bassist, but isn't the arranger & multi-instrumentalist that Jones is.

Disagreed. John Entwistle played a formidable selection of instruments, such as, apart from the bass guitar, brass, the piano and harmonica (see the Join Together promo). You should listen to his solo work a bit, where on some tracks he'd overdub a whole brass big band by himself and play every instrument on all the tracks except drums and guitar (I'm refering to his first and second solo album, because those are the only ones I've heard).

Don't misunderstand me, I'm not putting John Paul Jones down or something, I'm just pointing out... things... :cigar: :nerd:
