I was just on All Music and reading over The Beatles Section and I couldn't help but notice that the worst a studio album was rated by them was 4.5/5 stars and that was Let It Be which was hardly a studio album. I find that impressive and it also got me wondering, if an unbiased established rating system gave the albums such high rating, why do we not rate all the albums so highly as diehard fans? Is it because we are more critical of them because we know what they are capable of or do we just like to be unsatisfied. |

My friends call me Keith, but you can call me John. I was a rust repairer. I was a rust repairer and full-time survivor. I survived all the major earthquakes, and the Titanic, and several air crashes. Out here in the fields I fight for my meals. ![]() I Don't Mind Other Guys Dancing With My Girl. That's fine. I know them all pretty well. But I know sometimes I must get out in the light. Better leave her behind with the kids, they're alright. The kids are alright. | |

It's the same as Yellow Submarine. People who donb't liseten to the Beatles music so much will think certain popular things are great. But fans know the entire story and are less sympathetic. And I love Let it Be. |

I love them all. If I had to pick a weakest though, it'd be Let It Be, so I guess I kinda agree with them. |

Yeah, "Across The Universe", "I've Got A Feeling", "Get Back", "For You Blue", "Let It Be" and "The Long And Winding Road" totally are worse than With The Beatles or something. |

It's easy. When someone goes to the opera or tastes fine food for the first time, or if they rarely indulge in these things, or even just do it way less often, they're bound to think it's great. We listen to at least one Beatles album a day, EVERYDAY, so to us, the regular stuff, "It Won't Be Long", "Sexy Sadie", "Your Mother Should Know", and other "bleh" Beatles songs aren't as fantastic. |

Just shut the fuck up... honestly, it's my opinion. I have no time for some little kid talking shit after each post of mine. This is supposed to be fun friendly discussion. |

Are you implying that those songs are "bleh" Beatles songs? You couldn't pick songs like "I Don't Want To Spoil The Party" or "Little Child"? Actually, The Beatles' albums are as good as everybody says. We're just used to it, and when we hear another AMG "5 Star" album, we get frustrated because it's not as good as The Beatles. We see The Beatles as the standard, and think that they make regular music, when actually they just own everybody else. Now Playing: The Beatles - Girl |

Let It Be is awesome. In my eyes it's definitely better than their first albums and it almost matches Sgt.Pepper and Rubber Soul. More than a half of songs on here are fantastic. It would be even better without that raw wall-of sound. |

I know they're as good as everyone says, I'm just saying that when we listen to it so much, and compare them to our own favorite Beatles albums, and being Beatles fanatics that we are, it's harder for those albums like Yellow Submarine, Magical Mystery Tour, or Beatles For Sale to compare. I dunno if I'm makin' any sense here. And yeah, as far as most Beatles songs go, just comparing Beatles songs, the ones I said, pretty much are "bleh" Beatles songs. |

I think I know what you're saying Sean. Theoretically you're saying... "Pepper is my favorite album, but Help! is my least favorite, so that means that there is no way Help! could be 5 stars too." |

AMG has the biggest bullshit rating system on the interwabs. The only thing that it's good for is if you're going to get into an artist/band with a prolific discography and want to make your first choice your safest bet. Other than that, most of the people reviewing the albums are some of the worst journalists ever. Sometimes the review they'll give won't even match the rating. |

1. AMG is to see an artist's discography. 2. You say that you go there to see what albums to get. What do you base your choice on? The ratings. |
