This is probably a stupid observation but I find it funny that Rolling Stone magazine put "Like a Rolling Stone" as #1 and a Rolling Stones song as #2. I love Nirvana, but I wouldn't put "Teen Spirit" near the top 10 by any means. I think Rolling Stone has gotten "Greatest" confused with "Influential". Just because a really old song is really popular, doesn't mean it's one of the greatest. Like fuckin' "Dancing In The Street" by Martha and the Vandellas. Listen to that song. Go ahead right now, put it on, and tell me that you left with "Oh my God, I just heard one of the greatest songs OF ALL TIME" feeling or thought, and I'll slap you. Plus, where's the uh...hundreds of years of music before 1940? Did I not read "of All Time"? |

It's #31. Greater than "Sympathy For The Devil" from the Stones, but not as great as "I Walk The Line" from Johnny Cash.

Scratch out Nirvana, Ray Charles. Lower Satisfaction, Respect. Move Johnny B. Goode and Hey Jude up and add someone else, probably a Who song, and a Beatles song. I don't want to think of any to put in the Top 10. Maybe later, when I'm thinking clearly. |

There's really too many songs too accurately rank. Their albums top 500 is pretty good. |

My friends call me Keith, but you can call me John. I was a rust repairer. I was a rust repairer and full-time survivor. I survived all the major earthquakes, and the Titanic, and several air crashes. Out here in the fields I fight for my meals. ![]() I Don't Mind Other Guys Dancing With My Girl. That's fine. I know them all pretty well. But I know sometimes I must get out in the light. Better leave her behind with the kids, they're alright. The kids are alright. | |

Move "Johnny B. Goode" up? Nonsense. More influential doesn't necessarily mean better. If you listen to "Johnny B. Goode" and put something like "Satisfaction" on right after it, in my opinion, there's no comparison. |

I don't know I just think that it kicks very much ass. Oh well, would like to have seen Sympathy on the Top 10. It's a great song, it did good though. |

I didn't like the list very much, and not just because Waterloo Sunset was on the 42 place. Satisfaction in the second place is way too crazy for me. |

Only three songs I could be seeing on that Top 10 are "Hey Jude", "Good Vibrations" and "Like A Rolling Stone". |

Ew, "When A Man Loves A Woman" isn't great enough to top CCR by like.. 40 songs. Or 400 songs. |

Never heard of it. I think Like A Rolling Stone is justified. It's a great song, not to put down Spot On? Who's it by? |
