i love katie
The man is the definition of talent. His 80's material is astounding. Incredibly creative and popular. Musician, writer, arranger - it's all brilliant.

What I'm trying to say is: if you don't have anything by him, get some. Start with the Purple Rain soundtrack. With his band The Revolution. Don't stop there, though...

If he's a Jehovah Witness, I refuse to listen to any of his stuff.

That's really reasonable. If it makes you feel any better, he converted in 2001, so you can listen to pre-2001 songs.

My Beatles Trading Post (Updated Regularly)

"George had just come off tour, I'd flown in specially from England, Ringo had flown in specially, too, I think, and John wouldn't show up! He wouldn't come from across the park! George got on the phone, yelled, 'Take those fucking shades off and come over here, you!' John still wouldn't come over. He had a balloon delivered with a sign saying, LISTEN TO THIS BALLOON. It was all quite far out." -Paul McCartney

I was surprised when I found out that Nothing Compares 2 U by Sinead O'Connor was originally done by Prince.
I'd like to start listening to more of his music. Any suggestions as to what I should download?

THE JANITOR
I was just pondering, recently something about Prince.
You know how some radio stations these days will broadcast information about the artist and song for display on some radios? I don't mean satellite radio or cable channel services. I'm talkin' 'bout some car stereos are able to pick up signals sent out from radio station broadcasts that will list the name of the artist and the song title.
What do they display when they play a late 1990's song from Prince? Remember just to show his displeasure with his record company he changed his name from "Prince" to that strange series of characters/petraglyphs and then to "the artist formerly known as Prince".

When she walks she moves so fine like a flamingo
Crimson dress that clings so tight She's out of reach and out of sight
