This is going to be a very important Midterm Election, no doubt. In my area, I don't really like either Casey or Santorum for Senate, but I prefer Casey over Santorum.

(P.S......Rick Santorum is a douchebag. :cigar: )

It'll be so great if Jim Webb can beat, pardon me, dethrone George Allen. So we have a Democrat in congress again.

Because Allen is awful and manipulative. I just want him out.

I DID vote for Kinky in early voting yesterday. Seriously. I like his positions on just about all the issues including stemcell research. If he doesn't win, which he probably won't, I hope it's Chris Bell. Unfortunately we DO live in Texas, so I have a feeling it'll be Rick Perry (aka Satan) again.

If you're old enough to vote I URGE you to do so. Like TheSmashedGuitar said, it's soooo, SOOOO important to do so. Go to: www.vote-smart.org to find out where the candidates in your area stand on the issues.
If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there.

Here's our politcal lineup:

Cantidates for governor:

Republican: Jim Gibbons.
Democrat: Dina Titus.

Cantidates for Congress:

Republican: Dean Heller
Democrat: Jill Derby

Cantidates for Senate:

Republican: John Ensign
Democrat: Jack Carter.

My parents voted for the Republican cantidates, and I personally support them, too. There were just too many things against the Democrats for us, although Jill Derby really isn't too bad. I think Jim Gibbons will win.

Well, I'm not voting, though I SHOULD be..see it's probably a hassle, cause I'm currently residing in a state other than my home state, meaning I'm not a citizen of Washington, I'm an Oregonian. and yeah.. I don't even know if that makes a difference or not..maybe I'm just too lazy to vote..I really should have registered, but I kinda blew it off, saying I'll do it later (register) but I kinda never did..

I wish I wasn't so lazy.

gubernatorial: Republican Mark Green vs. incumbent Democrat Jim "crook" Doyle (aka one of the most corrupt governors in the country)
SO, i'm voting for Green
Green is ahead for the first time ever right now, but its a toss up. I just cant stand Doyle. What a slime ball. :cigar:

attorney general: voting GOP because the dems have really done a lousy job (get this, the last democratic attorney general got arrested for a DUI during her term) Plus, i'm for a more conservative criminal justice system.

congress: Its basically Tammy Baldwin ("democrat", but SCARILY so...like most liberal crazy woman EVER), vs. Magnum (Moderate running as a Republican)
voting for Magnum because he's awesome. I met him, and I pretty much agree with him on everything, and plus...MAGNUM, what a cool name.

Initiatives:
Death Penalty in WI--> voting against
Gay Marriage ban--> voting against

lol i am WAAAY to into this :nerd:

And I met hands with one our senatorial candidates. Shook hands. Whichever. And we got to ask him questions in a political discussion and he thought we were one of the smartest classes he's ever met. It turns out he's one of my friend's next door neighbors, and his daughter was on my sister's soccer team. And...

Wait, his name is Kinky? Are you serious?

Hey! I voted for Rick Perry, and I'm a Democrat!

I wouldn't vote for Kinky because not only would it be a wasted vote, as I suspect even ol' Strayhorn will be him out, but I don't see how someone who sells action figures, says "de-wussify Texas", wants to put Willie Nelson in office, free druggies and dealers, etc etc.

Kinky is trying to appeal to those who don't show up at the polls anyway. He's trying to appeal to kids with his FaceBook and MySpace pages, his cartoons, and some of the shirts he has. That's why he'll lose. Kids have the lowest voting turnout rates.

Not to mention, and I've said this before, I don't want Average Joe up there. I don't want the good 'ol cowboy running things.

Oh well, whether I want him to win, whether I want him to lose, he'll lose. Rick Perry will win.
