In court documents filed by Heather Mills, she claims that estranged husband Paul McCartney was physically violent towards her, took drugs and stopped her from breastfeeding their baby during their marriage. She says while in LA in November 2002, he grabbed her by the neck and pushed her over a coffee table. In May 2003 she claims he shoved her into a bath. In Aug 2005, he allegedly choked her after she accused him of smoking marijuana. In April 2006, the documents state, he tipped red wine over her; he then broke the wine glass and lunged at her with the sharp stem of the wine glass which cut Heather’s arm. See the specific allegations detailed below, as reported by London's Evening Standard:

October 2002: McCartney loudly pointed out that Mills was in a bad mood, in front of other people. When they returned home McCartney and Mills began to argue about the McCartney’s behaviour. McCartney grabbed Mills by the neck and pushed her over a coffee table. He then went outside and, in his drunken state, fell down a hill, cutting his arm.

May 2003: The couple were in a hotel in Rome when McCartney behaved coldly towards Mills, who was pregnant and who was distressed by a derogatory newspaper article about her. An argument ensued in which McCartney became angry and pushed Mills into the bath. Mills suffered distress but was made to go to McCartney’s evening concert.

May 2003: Following the concert, in a fit of pique because Mills refused to go to the aftershow party, McCartney directed a female bodyguard to abandon Mills, leaving her exposed to hordes of fans. The respondent was forced to take a 30 minute walk back to the hotel because no taxi was available.

August 2003: In Long Island, Mills asked McCartney if he had been smoking marijuana. He became angry, grabbed her neck and started choking her.

October 2003: McCartney often told Mills when she was pregnant that he did not want her to breast-feed their child, making the comment "they are my breasts" and "I don't want a mouthful of breast milk".

November 2003: McCartney required Mills to defer an essential operation on her leg because it would have interfered with holiday plans.

December 2003: Mills had a broken pelvic plate McCartney insisted that she cook for him while she was on crutches, could barely move and was in agony.

Mid-November 2004: McCartney failed to protect Mills from adverse press reports despite being in a position to do so. Mills was warned that a forthcoming article about her was about to come out in The Sunday Times magazine and included the line: "The best thing that ever happened to Heather Mills McCartney was losing her leg" which was distressing.

As McCartney had been asked to participate in the half-time entertainment for the Superbowl on Fox TV owned by Rupert Murdoch (who also owns The Sunday Times), Mills asked McCartney to tell Rupert Murdoch that he would not confirm his participation in the Superbowl unless he agreed not to run the story. McCartney refused to assist in this way.

September/October 2005: McCartney called Mills an "ungrateful bitch" in front of their driver when she explained why an office he had provided was not right for her. Having refused to allow Mills to use his spare office on the floor beneath their apartment, which would have allowed for a creche in one part of the office, McCartney had insisted she use an office that was far too small and was 20 minutes walk away. When Mills went to view it, she was chased by paparazzi and was so demoralised by the experience she never used the office.

April 2006: Shortly after Mills’ revision amputation surgery she was forced to crawl on her hands and knees up aeroplane steps because they were not wide enough to take her wheelchair. McCartney had assured Mills he had taken care of her disability needs in connection with the trip.

April 2006: An argument occurred during which McCartney poured a bottle of red wine over Mills’ head and then threw what remained in his wine glass at her.

McCartney then reached to grab Mills’ wine glass, and broke the bowl of the glass from the stem. He then lunged at the Mills with the sharp stem of the glass, which cut and pierced Mills’ arm just below the elbow causing her to bleed profusely. He proceeded to manhandle Mills, flinging her into her wheelchair and wheeling it outside, screaming at her to apologize for "winding him up".

April 2006: Mills asked McCartney not to leave her alone with their daughter Beatrice at the Cabin (because it is isolated in a forest). She had just had surgery on her leg, was in a wheelchair, and was anxious about her ability to cope by herself. Notwithstanding this, he walked off. Mills then telephoned McCartney, and asked him to return. McCartney mocked her pleas, mimicking the voice of a nagging spouse, and refused to return.

April 2006: It is alleged that Mills found McCartney staggering, undressed him and ran the bath and helped him into it. She then phoned the McCartney’s psychiatrist for advice and was told not to attempt to move him, to get a duvet and two pillows, to empty the bath of water, cover him, and leave him there.

Mills thereupon dragged herself upstairs, on her hands and knees (she was unable to wear her prosthetic leg as the wound from surgery had not yet healed) and brought back down the pillows. She found that McCartney had vomited on himself. She rinsed him off, and got him out the bath. At that time Mills had a broken plate in her pelvis and she was in agony.

April 2006: On April 27 Mills knew McCartney would be too hungover to help her with Beatrice and due to her own incapacity as a result of an operation, she had to call the babysitter to help get Beatrice to nursery.

The following day McCartney went to London but said he would be back in time to help the put Beatrice to bed. He did not arrive back at her bedtime even though he knew Mills could not cope on her own. McCartney arrived home drunk and demanded dinner and called the respondent a nag.

That evening Mills realized the marriage had irretrievably broken down and left, crawling on her hands and knees while dragging her wheelchair, crutches and basic personal possessions to the car.

No date given: Mills asked McCartney if she could buy an antique bedpan to keep under the bed at night so she wouldn't have to crawl to the bathroom when her prosthetic leg was not fitted. McCartney objected, saying it would be like being in "an old woman's home."

You really have to be a moron to believe most of that... :sleep1:

This is absolute rubbish. Heather is a fantasist and a liar. Paul's not a violent person n I dont believe this for a second. I can't believe Heather could stoop this low. It's just not in Paul's character, and even though I don't know him personally, I know enough about him to be able to judge this, and plenty of other people who DO know him have been coming out and saying it's not the type of thing Paul would do. He's a bloomin vegan for God's sake, he wouldn't even hurt a fly, never mind a woman. And yeah, he was an advocate for women's rights, check out Mistress And Maid. Heather doesn't strike me as the type of woman who would take any shit, if Paul was abusing her she would have left long ago. Also, why has this only just come out NOW, right when the court case is coming up and when Paul has announced he'd like to have custody of Bea. She's trying to ruin his reputation. It aint gonna work though. :fail:

If all of the accusations Heather has made recently about Paul "true", then why is she just now yacking to the press about it?

You'd figure that Heather would have stated these allegations much sooner in the divorce process, especially when she was having her name slandered in the paper.

I think it's a bunch of bull.....sorry Heather.

....wait.....no I'm not.
Isn't he a bit like you and me?

Heather Mills McCartney to Sue British Papers
Oct 24, 10:17 AM EST

The Associated Press

LONDON -- Heather Mills McCartney's lawyers said Tuesday she is suing two newspapers over "false, damaging and immensely upsetting" stories surrounding her divorce from Paul McCartney.

The law firm Mishcon de Reya named the Daily Mail and London's Evening Standard as the subject of legal proceedings, adding that a lawsuit will also be filed against The Sun.

Associated Newspapers, publishers of the Daily Mail and the Evening Standard, had no immediate response.

Mills McCartney had been vilified in the media and was now being stalked by photographers, the firm said. It alleged that other newspapers had also printed false statements but the three listed would be the focus of the lawsuit.

"She cannot sue — for now, at least — every single newspaper that has published false, damaging and immensely upsetting statements about her. She should not thereby be taken to have accepted that these statements are true," the statement read.

The McCartney divorce has become the most sensational marital breakup since Prince Charles and Princess Diana parted ways a decade ago, sparking immense rivalry in the British press for the best scoop.

I saw something on the Today show this morning about an incident in which McCartney sent out his servants, if you will, to buy her a gift and she became very upset. He called her "a spoiled brat" and also said something along the lines of "Linda would have never behaved like this!"

Now, I think that it was perfectly reasonable that he sent people to buy the gift. Who wants the paparazzi following you around all day while your trying to get a gift? But, I do think that referring to the late Linda McCartney was a little too far.

EDIT: I'm changing the topic title to "McCartney Divorce". Anyone oppose?

Heather deserved that little dig. She brought up shit about Linda and makes comments all the time. Why can't Paul talk about the one person he loves most and dedicated his life to?

IMO, she is an ungrateful bitch and he shouldn't have bought her anything. I don't give a rat's ass if they called a temporary truce for Bea's birthday..that lieing piece of trash doesn't deserve anything.

Wait, I take that back. All she deserves is someone to slap the stupid out of her.

Sir Paul: No Grudge Despite Ugly Divorce
Nov 4, 10:33 AM EST

The Associated Press

LONDON -- Paul McCartney said Saturday he bears no grudge against his estranged second wife — despite acrimonious divorce proceedings that have seen lurid allegations about their marriage reported across the world.

The 64-year-old former Beatle said the break up — seized on in Britain as the most high-profile split since Prince Charles and Princess Diana parted ways a decade ago — had left him saddened, but determined to act with dignity.

McCartney and Heather Mills McCartney, a 38-year-old anti-land mine campaigner, announced their separation in May and began divorce proceedings in July. They have a 3-year-old daughter, Beatrice.

"There are certain things in life that are personal, and I think a relationship with a partner is intensely personal, and I prefer to keep it that way," McCartney told British Broadcasting Corp. radio in an interview broadcast Saturday.

"When you are going through difficulties, I think the thing to do for the sake of all the people concerned is to keep a certain dignity and remember that it is a private affair, and that way, you will probably get through it better," he said.

McCartney said keeping details of the divorce private would "put less noses out of joint, and I think it is a more dignified way to go about it."

He was interviewed Friday, following the premiere of his classical composition Ecce Cor Meum (Behold My Heart) at London's Royal Albert Hall, the BBC said. He said the work was inspired by the death of his first wife, Linda, from breast cancer in 1998.

Mills McCartney last month said she would take legal action against a number of British newspapers who published disparaging claims about her husband, alleged to have been contained in divorce court papers drawn up on her behalf.

Her law firm, Mishcon de Reya, said she would sue British tabloid The Sun, and newspapers Daily Mail and Evening Standard.

McCartney's lawyers said he would vigorously defend himself against the allegations that he had physically abused his second wife.

"Life goes on, I do not hold grudges against anyone, I don't blame anyone for the sadnesses that have happened to me. I am sad about them because it would stupid to be otherwise," McCartney said. "I think life goes on, and it is what you make of it, so I am pretty optimistic.

British model Kate Moss says she'll be happy to testify on behalf of Paul McCartney if asked to do so at a divorce trial.

Moss told the London Sun that she thinks Heather Mills is lying about Sir Paul's alleged behavior in her divorce complaint.

Mills is suing the Sun, claiming the paper printed falsehoods about her. The Sun reacted to the suit by printing a list of alleged lies told by Mills, editorializing that "she has no reputation to defend."

She probably just wants a piece of Paul! Though I can't say I blame her! lmao!
