Hate me, do it and do it again.
Besides getting more into Nick Drake, I've also been listening to a fair share of these guys. If you don't know who they are, you don't like in Africa, or you're deaf. Bono (you know, funky glasses, trying to save the world, ect) is one of the most well known people in the world. While his personality can be annoying and his ego is adding a few thousand pounds to the Earth's weight, he's a great vocalist to a great band. Of course, this is U2, everyone's favourite Irish band. And if they're not, don't tell me that, and let me be in my own dreamworld about this.

They have some great songs which many have heard - "New Year's Day", "Pride (In The Name Of Love)", "One", ect. Those are probaly my top 3 favorite songs by the group. Each one is diffrent, yet has the same backbone - echo effects from The Edge's guitars, simple yet fantastic bass and drums as well as Bono's distinct vocals. They also have an essential album, The Joshua Tree, which is really great, ect blah blah.

So before I add a few more pounds to Bono's ego, I'll let you do that. Have fun.

He died?

This is worse than when I put a candy company out of business because I didn't buy a pack of 'Zours' from a vending machine.

As is Zach. Though I really don't care for their work after Achtung Baby.

THE JANITOR
Seeing them perform during the original live 1985 broadcasts of the first Live Aid concerts completely made me a U2 fan.
One of the songs they performed during those concerts was called "Bad" and the song was an instant favorite for me.
Now of course in the early 1980's I had heard and enjoyed a handfull of their songs but in 1985, the song "Bad" had skillfully placed the hook of U2 in me.
Beyond that it was the album "The Unforgettable Fire" as the first piece to my U2 appreciation and over the slow years, probably a little less than half of their other releases are now part of my collection.
The albums "The Unforgettable Fire", "The Joshua Tree", "Rattle And Hum" and "Actung Baby" are the ones that get the most turntable and disc player action 'round here.

Now listening to "If You Want My Love" (alternate version) - Cheap Trick
('cause by Jeorge, I am just not in a Metallica mood just now)
When she walks she moves so fine like a flamingo
Crimson dress that clings so tight She's out of reach and out of sight

I love U2. How do they make such great songs with just 4 people?

I like the songs "With Or Without You", "Beautiful Day", and "Vertigo". I would like to get one of their albums (or all of them), so I'll check with everyone I know to see what they got of them.

It's the fact that many bands with only four people make great music , many of them better than U2. Actually, most three-piece bands are tighter and play better than other bands.
