Thinkin' one thing and doin' another
Ever had a change of heart about a band, a song, an album?

Here's the place to tell us about it.

For me, there are a few:

- I used to love Pink Floyd, I mean reeally adore them, on par with the Beatles. But I got tired of their music about a month or so ago and only really enjoy listening to a select few albums (dark side, wall, piper, animals).

- I used to really hate Helter Skelter, thought the vocals were crap and guitar was too distorted. Now i love the song, trick is to play it LOUD.

- Likewise with The Clash's London Calling but now I recognise it as a real masterpiece.

So do tell us your stories...

Hate me, do it and do it again.
I was never a big fan of Muse when I first got their Absolution album from Maddy. I liked "Thoughts of a Dying Athiest" and "Butterflies & Hurricanes" a lot but nothing else was really amazing to me. When I heard they had a new album coming out, I got excited because I was curious to see what it'd be like. So I listened to Absolution and downloaded their album a few weeks before (it leaked) and fell in love with the group. Listen to them almost religiously now.

Same with Radiohead. I downloaded "Karma Police" because it was their most popular song on Last and didn't like it. Eventually I tried again and got The Bends and loved it. ...Now I listen to them almost religiously.

And the same applies with me for Pink Floyd. Once you've heard it all, you can't really stand anything but the essentials. The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn and Wish You Were Here are still popular on my iPod, but not much else. Darkside of the Moon is good like once a month, when you listen to it again and go on that trip you get when listening to it.

David Bowie is one I used to dislike (lol "gayvid bowie") but I was watching VH1 Classic and they played like 500 Bowie videos in two days and I liked what I was hearing, remembering some radio classics he had like "Space Oddity", "Changes" and "Fame". I have quite a few albums by him now, he's good for a random listen when you need a dose of glam in your life. <3

I really hated 'Comfortably Numb', but now I love it.

'Bittersweet Symphony' used to be one of my favorite songs, but now I don't listen to it as much. I have no idea why.

I used to hate Led Zeppelin, apart from some songs like 'Stairway To Heaven' and 'Tangerine', but after Zach sent me IV and I, I've been listening to their stuff everyday.

I used to despise Born To Run, now its a favourite. But I understand why people would hate that album though, its very easy to. I mean, the guy went in and actually said "yeah, this is going to be the greatest album ever" and it can be seen in his approach on the album. It's very self consciously bombastic and takes itself verrry seriously. Still good though

I used to think that Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Nirvana were the musical equivalents of sticking your ears in a blender. Now I like them.

Nico.

This one is really, really weird and pretty recent. I put on VU&Nico a few weeks ago and for some odd reason, I liked Nico's voice all of the sudden. I liked it so much that I went home and downloaded her first four albums, which are all great.

The only example I can think of at the moment is "Wonderwall Music" by George Harrison. I originally wanted to buy it just out of curiosity, and since it was $8, why not? I brought it home and listened to it, and I thought to myself, "What a weird album!" I didn't listen to it again for a while. But one day, I was bored, so I figured I'd listen to it again. That's all it took. I've loved it ever since.
...und keine eier.
