Okay, there was no thread for Ol' Blue Eyes and since he's like my second favorite entertainer after the Beatles (odd, but true), I thought I'd start one. So, discuss him and/or the rest of the Rat Pack here.

I love Sinatra. All big band, really. But he stood above all the other "crooners" of the day. Dean and Sammy were good too, but nothing compared to the chairman of the board. Although I do like the movies Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis did together.
Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others

I could stand him if it weren't for his one night stand with Marilyn Monroe and his mafioso i-want-to-intimidate-you type personality. He's a good singer though.

I love Frank Sinatra. His voice is absolutely incredible and can turn the most static melody into something amazing with merely his tonality.

However, his persona has always bothered me. But his voice is still amazing.
Isn't he a bit like you and me?

frankie's amazing.

I know I am.

Oh, wait, that wasn't about me... ;_;

But really though, Frank Sinatra is a really good singer. I have a few of his songs, and they are all great.

I pick up his albums whenever I can. Collecting LPs has really opened me to his talent. I have about 20 of his or so now, and some of his Reprise and Capitol albums have sonics that are shockingly realistic and put the chairman right in my room, right in back of and between the speakers! Great voice, feelings and delivery. The arrangements by Nelson Riddle, Billy May and others are polished and just sound sooo good!
